India's consumer goods companies are expected to report disappointing earnings for Q4 FY25, with significant declines in profits for major firms, while consumer durables like air conditioners may perform well due to an early hot summer. The ongoing US-China trade tensions and new tariffs could further impact consumer demand and inflation in India. Despite challenges, there are signs of optimism for FY26, particularly in the consumer durables sector, but risks remain due to potential weather impacts and global economic uncertainties.
