WRITING A REVIEW – A2 English Writing Test

1 What films and books do you like? Make a list, then compare with a partner.
2 Read the review of Paddington 2. Do you know this film? Do you agree with the
writer’s opinions? Do you want to watch it?
Paddington 2 tells the story of Paddington Bear. He’s a very kind, friendly bear and
lives in London with the Brown family. Paddington wants to buy a book for Aunt Lucy’s
birthday, but someone steals the book while he’s in the shop. The police think
Paddington stole the book, so he goes to prison. He has lots more adventures, but in
the end, everything is OK. The film is sometimes sad, but also very funny. I laughed a
lot! What happens in the end? Why don’t you watch it and find out? This is a brilliant
film! I saw it last month and I loved it! If you like funny films, go and see it! *****
