Education
Vishwakarma Institute of Technology Pune, Maharashtra
 BTech in Mechanical Engineering (8.06 CGPA)
2020-2024

Industry Projects and Internship Experience

1. Institute for Plasma Research, Summer School Program
 Wrote a MATLAB code for comparative Study of Magnetohydrodynamic Pressure Drop in duct flows for
Lead-lithium, in circular, as well as two distinct aspect ratio rectangular pipes.
 Comparative study was done by changing relevant variables such as Reynolds Number, Pipe Thickness,
Aspect ratio, and Hartmann Number.
 This study was conducted to understand the pressure drop within the liquid lead-lithium used for tritium
breeding and heat transfer, caused by the tokamak’s strong magnetic fields.

2. Institute for Plasma Research, Academic Project

 Design and analysis of fixed aspect ratio and discretely variable aspect ratio particle trap.
 A sectored trap with steps was designed decreasing its complexity from an assembly point of view so that
least amount of unique components were necessary keeping the cost to minimum.
 The need for special probes was prevented, as the trap was designed in such a way that the sectors
themselves could be used as probes that to while giving better data for diagnosis.

Project Experience
1. American Sign Language Detection Using TensorFlow Object detection API
 Image collection and labeling A to Z alphabets for ASL in order to have a dataset.
 Trained a TensorFlow pretrained model with the collected dataset for several iterations with each having
different number of steps to create the most accurate object detection model.
 Detection of ASL alphabets was observed from images, as well as a live video feed through the webcam
with 96% confidence for the most accurate iteration.

2. Calculations, CAD Design and 3D Printing of an Epicyclic Gear Train

 A CAD model in SolidWorks was designed according to the calculated gear ratios as per a
problem statement.
 The step file of the design was imported in a cartesian 3d printer and the gears were printed
separately using polylactic acid (PLA).
 The rough edges of the gears were smoothed out by sanding them using sand paper.

3. Design and Thermal Analysis of IC Engine Heat Sink

 Calculated the dimensions for the cylinder block of an IC Engine based on a problem statement.
 Designed 9 CAD models of the cylinder block with various heat sink shapes and fin densities.
 Imported the step files in Ansys Thermal. Analyzed the 9 models with various materials to find the
design with most heat dissipation capacity.

4. Design and Structural Analysis of a Truss Bridge in Ansys Static Structural

 Design of a truss bridge of an arbitrarily take value 12x2 meters was created in Ansys itself.
 After defining the accurate boundary conditions, structural analysis was performed by changing the road
material to structural steel from concrete to see the deformation once a load was applied.
 Conclusions were made that although the concrete road deforms to a depth that is suitable for transport,
the weight is reduced by a considerable amount, thus reducing the construction cost.

5. Design and CFD analysis of a Centrifugal Pump in Ansys Fluent

 Designed the CAD model of a Centrifugal pump of Given Dimensions. Also closed as well as semi-
open Impellers were designed, with 6 varying blade numbers.
 The step files of the models were imported to Ansys Fluent. Analysis of each design was done at 3
distinct RPMs.
 Overall the centrifugal pump was analyzed 36 separate times to find the impeller that gives the highest
head for given dimensions and boundary conditions.

6. Railway Gate Automation System using IOT

 Two independent systems were designed. One for automatic railway crossing gates and one as a bonus for
fire detection.
 Both systems were independent of each other. IOT devices such as servo motors, IR sensors, flame
sensors, buzzer, LCD display jumper wires, LEDs, and Arduino Uno were used.
 Initially the simulation of the systems was done in the Proteus software. Once the simulation worked after
various attempts, the hardware for the Railway Gate Automation System was assembled.

7. Other Minor Projects

 GPS mobile application using Android Studio
 Line following and kicking robot
