What is Art?
Art is a way to convey inner feelings, ideas, and thoughts
about the world around us. It is the expression or
application of human creative ability and imagination,
usually in the shape of something visual, like a painting or a
sculpture, creating works that are valued primarily for their
aesthetic appeal or emotional impact. We perform art; it is
a verb. Although while art is a vehicle for us to
communicate our ideas, feelings, intuitions, and wishes, it
also allows us to share how we view the world, which for
many people is a reflection of who they are as people.

Art addresses human needs
Art informs us that we are not
alone and that we share a
shared human experience. With
art, we may digest events, make
connections, and have an
influence while experiencing
intense emotions together. We
can capture and process more
than simply our unique
experiences with the aid of art.

Art is not a nature
Art is not nature because it is man-made. Art

is man’s interpretation of what he perceives

as art. Nature, such as the mountains, the

volcano, lakes, rivers, land terrain are made

by God and not by man. Thus, art, and not

nature, is made by man by all times.

Art Involves
Experience
When a work is finished in a satisfactory manner, an
experience occurs. Artists use their experiences to ventilate
their feelings through the works that they make. Some artists
focus on societal problems, issues, and concerns. Some of
them use expressionism to communicate strong and intense
feelings. They reflect in their works on the brink of socio-
cultural problems because of their experiences.
