PGP1 Behavioural Writeup
The following set of questions are an important part for the preparation of ‘Placement Behavioural
Process’
Since all the questions are subjective, related to your personality and seek your own experiences, there
is no reason for you to copy the answers from anywhere. Refrain from copying answers from the
internet since they are accessible to everyone and these experiences cannot be the same. It is
suggested that you conduct a thorough self-assessment which would help answer the questions.
Plagiarism of any form will lead to severe repercussions.
Make deliberate efforts to answer the questions keeping in mind the following parameters:
Avoid ambiguous statements or contradicting yourself in different questions
Make sure your answers are comprehensible
Use simple language and avoid Grammar or typographical errors.
Use suitable examples where applicable/asked.

observant.
4. Why should one not hire you? (Imagine the role of your preference and based on that give honest
response)
5. What are your strengths (Mention at least 3) and mention situations to explain each?
6. What are your hobbies or interests and extra-curricular activities you like to engage in? (Advisable to
mention how you inculcate them in your busy or day-to-day schedule)
7. What do you think is your most significant achievement till date? Justify with reasons
8. Describe 2 incidents that have had a significant impact on your life and brought about a change in
you?
10. Describe an incident where you suggested an out-of-the-box (i.e., previously non-existent) solution
and were appreciated for the results.
11. Demonstrate your capacity for establishing and sustaining working relationships with the people you
must interact with. Which team members do you find to be the worst to work with? (Mention
appropriate reasons)
12. Explain a situation where you took up something beyond your area of work/interest.
13. Describe a situation where you convinced people to implement your idea(s). Explain how you tried
to convince another person and changed their perspective.
14. Describe an incident where you had to make a very quick decision in your work/position of
responsibility.
15. Describe a situation when you faced a moral conflict. What was the basis for your decision making,
and what were the consequences (if any)?
16. Why MBA after your job / graduation? What are your expectations from this course?
17. What are your career goals? Please elaborate in three separate categories: Short-term (2-3 years),
Medium-term (5-10 years), Long Term (after 10 years)

Note: “Domain” refers to the different areas of a business management for eg. Marketing, Finance,
Operations, IT, Consulting, HR.
The term "industry" refers to groups of businesses that are connected based on their main lines of
activity for eg. Information Technology, BFSI, Energy, Metals, FMCG etc.

work experience?
