Tabs Description
Getting This tab provides your students with information about the
started lesson.
15 minutes
Students should access the lesson via logging in to the c4k.io.
Point out that “io” in c4k.io stands for input and output.
Present the student workspace so that it acts as a presentation, where
students can follow along.
Watch the video with your students. Ask your students to provide
examples of input and output devices.
Input devices: Mouse, keyboard, mic, remote controls, etc.
Output devices: Speakers, monitor, headphones, etc.
Discuss the contents of the information tab.
Input devices: Input devices allow us to talk to our computers or
tablets. They help us give instructions or commands. They allow
information to be put into a computer.
Processing: Processing is when your computer or tablet takes the
instructions you give through the keyboard, mouse, or other tools, and
figures out how to do what you want. It processes the information
received from the input device and passes it along to the output
device.
Output devices: Output devices show us the results of the
instructions or commands we give to our computers or tablets. These
devices display or produce information, allowing us to see, hear, or
feel the outcome of our commands. They allow information to be sent
out of the computer.
Input and output devices: Ensure that your students are aware that
certain devices act as an input and output device. For example: A
tablet can be used to type on and present information.
30 minutes
Students complete various tasks based on the content learned.
