1. Introduction and Warm-Up (10 minutes)

"Exercise benefits both physical and mental health." (True)

"Drinking enough water is essential for your health." (True)

nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being.

Preview of Learning Goals: Introduce the different aims for today’s lesson—knowledge, skills,
attitude, and behavior—to give students a sense of purpose for each part of the lesson.
2. Core Knowledge Presentation and Discussion (15 minutes)

Mini-Lecture (8 minutes): Present the main components of a healthy lifestyle:

Balanced Nutrition: Describe the food groups, essential nutrients, and hydration.

Physical Activity: Explain the importance of exercise for strength, flexibility, cardiovascular health, and
mood.

Mental Well-being: Cover aspects like stress management, social connections, and relaxation
techniques.

Guided Discussion (7 minutes): For each topic, ask students open-ended questions to deepen their
understanding:

“What are some healthy foods you enjoy?”


“What’s your favorite way to stay active?”

“What activities help you manage stress?”

3. Group Activity: Analyzing Healthy Habits (20 minutes)


Setup: Divide students into small groups and provide each group with a health-related scenario card
(e.g., "Sara often feels tired at school. What are some things she could change to feel more
energized?").

Instructions: Each group discusses their scenario, identifies the challenges, and brainstorms three
health-promoting actions related to nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being.
