Global Warming Project

Global warming is caused by greenhouse gases like CO2 trapping heat in the atmosphere, leading to rising temperatures and climate change. Its impacts include extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and threats to human health and food security. Solutions involve reducing emissions, transitioning to renewable energy, and promoting international cooperation to combat climate change.

Global Warming :
Global warming is the warming of the earth through carbon
dioxide (CO2) being pumped into the atmosphere from tailpipes
and smokestacks. Then the gases trap heat like the glass in a
greenhouse. This is where the term the "greenhouse effect" came
from. Or we can say that global warming is the theory that we as
humans are increasing greenhouse gases (the thick layer of
gases that catches the sun's rays and heats the earth) through
industrialization causing more gases and increasing the amount
of sunlight that gets caught and heats the earth. Carbon dioxide is
the most common gas that causes global warming.

Importance :
Global Warming is important since it helps determine future climate
expectations. Through the use of latitude, one can determine the likelihood of
snow and hail reaching the surface. You can also be able to identify the thermal
energy from the sun that is accessible to a region. Global Warming is the scientific
study of climates, which is defined as the mean weather conditions over a period
of time. A branch of study within atmospheric sciences, it also takes into account
the variables and averages of short-term and long-term weather conditions.
Global warming is the unequivocal and continuing rise in the average
temperature of Earth's climate system.

Relevance :
The impacts of climate change include warming temperatures, changes in
precipitation, increases in the frequency or intensity of some extreme weather
events, and rising sea levels. These impacts threaten our health by affecting
the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and the weather we
experience.

Effects of Global Warming :
Rising sea levels and coastal flooding.
Extreme weather events (heatwaves, droughts, storms).
Melting glaciers and polar ice caps.
Changes in precipitation patterns and water scarcity.
Loss of biodiversity and ecosystem disruption.
Negative impacts on agriculture and food security.
Increased risk of waterborne diseases and heat stress.
Disruption to human settlements and migration.
Economic losses and damage to infrastructure.
Increased risk of wildfires and forest fires.

These effects can have devastating consequences for the

environment, human health, and the economy.

Consequences of Global Warming :
Rising Temperatures:- Increased frequency
and severity of heatwaves- Melting of polar
ice caps and glaciers - Sea-level rise.

2. Extreme Weather Events:- More

frequent and intense droughts, floods, and
storms- Changes in precipitation patterns.

3. Human Health Impacts:- Increased risk of

heat-related illnesses and deaths- Spread of
diseases and heat stress

Global Warming Statistics :
1. Temperature increase since 1880.
2. CO2 levels over the past 800,000 years.
3. Projected sea-level rise by 2100
