TODAYS STARTER: RHP Dustin Moseley takes the hill for his second Spring startmade his Spring debut on Monday against the Mariners, working 2.0 innings and allowing two runs on two hits. ON THE MEND: INF Logan Forsythe underwent a procedure yesterday, performed by Dr. Heinz Hoenecke at the Scripps Surgery Center Carmel Valley, to have a bone in his left foot removed recovery time is estimated at six to eight weeks, with Forsythe expected to return to the Peoria Sports Complex tomorrow morning. PADRES ALL OVER MLB NETWORK: The Padres 1:05 pm PT/2:05 pm MST game against the Indians today will be broadcast by SportsTime Ohio and will be picked up by MLB Networkalso had their game against the Los Angeles Angels yesterday picked up by MLB Network and will be featured in MLB Networks 30 Clubs in 30 Days today. DECKED OUT: Jaff Decker hit his second homer of the Spring yesterday and is now 5-for-14 (.357) with two doubles and two home runs in six games played. THE SHAW REDEMPTION: LHP Alex Hinshaw has made three appearances thus far this Spring, retiring nine of his 10 hitters faced with only one reaching base on a elding errorhas sat down each of his last eight batters faced, including four via strikeout. THE FUTURE: Eight of the Padres top 10 prospects, according to Baseball America, are in camp this Spring...that list includes INF Yonder Alonso (1), C Yasmani Grandal (2), OF Rymer Liriano (3), RHP Casey Kelly (4), INF Cory Spangenberg (5), INF Jedd Gyorko (7), RHP Joe Wieland (8) and LHP Robbie Erlin (9)... Baseball America also recently released their ranking of the top 100 prospects in baseball, including Alonso (33), Grandal (53), Kelly (76), Spangenberg (78) and Gyorko (98)in total, the club had six players featured in the top 100 which were tied for the most among all clubs (also, Athletics, Cardinals and Rangers). ROSTER TALK: The Padres have 61 players in Big League camp...with a full 40-man roster and 21 non-roster invitees, the squad features 29 pitchers (eight southpaws), seven catchers, 15 inelders and 10 outelders...entering camp, the club has 16 players on the 40-man roster who were not at the beginning of 2011 Spring Training. ROOKIE ROUND-UP: 29 of the 61 players in camp will qualify as rookies in the 2012 season, with 13 of those 29 on the 40-man roster...the 13 consist of Brad Brach, Erik Hamren, Nick Vincent, Jose De Paula, Juan Oramas, Yasmani Grandal, James Darnell, Andy Parrino, Edinson Rincon, Cory Spangenberg, Jeudy Valdez, Rymer Liriano and Blake Tekotte.
