Okay class, Before we start our proper lesson, we will be having an activity that
measures your mind and understanding about the sentence given.

This activity is called Find the Relation

What you are going to do is to understand the general ideas and though wanted to
delivered by the sentence. After that, analyze the sentence given with their
relationship to other sentence.

presented.

5 Commonly used Patterns of Idea Development

1. General to Particular – Discusses issue by presenting specific details that


support the topic. This is being started by general idea stated in the topic
sentence. Then it goes to elaborate and explain through specific details and
examples. This pattern is considered as deductive method of organization.

4.Developing Mastery The teacher will now be showing 8 sentences containing blank and 8
grammatical signals and will be asking students to fill the blank with the 5
Patterns of Idea Development that has earlier been discussed.

Patterns of Idea Development and create a paragraph with at least 5 sentences
using the corresponding grammatical signals.

write their own paragraph.
4. Each group must choose their best representative and shall be given 2
minutes to present.

Peer feedback will be noted and recognized. Then, each group leader will
evaluate their members based on their effort and contribution specified in a
rubric for individual participation (will be given after class).
