Advancement in AI in 21st century -

Introduction-
One of the most groundbreaking innovations of the 21st century is artificial intelligence (AI),
which has drastically altered a number of cultural areas as well as the workforce [1]. In recent
decades, computer science (AI) has led advances in technological developments. It has been
applied in a variety of fields, including toys, video games, education, stock trading, robotics,
medical diagnostics, even legislation. [2]. To get a grip on where AI is at now, and the
forecast of where it’s headed, we’re breaking down the journey of artificial intelligence since
the turn of the century [3].

Preliminary study on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence-

In the 1950s, the term ‘artificial intelligence’ was introduced for machines that can do more
than routine tasks. As computing power increased, the term was applied to machines
that have the ability to learn. While there is not one single definition of AI, it is commonly
agreed upon that machines which are based on AI, or on ‘cognitive computing’, are
potentially capable of imitating or even exceeding human cognitive capacities,
including sensing, language interaction, reasoning and analysis, problem solving, and
even creativity. Moreover, such ‘intelligent machines can demonstrate human-like
learning capabilities with mechanisms of self-relation and self-correction, on the basis of
algorithms that embody ‘machine learning’ or even ‘deep learning’, using ‘neural networks’
that mimic the functioning of the human brain [4]

What are the Artificial Intelligence achievements so far?-

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to

perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings [5]. IA can fully replace people
with automation, improving safety and enabling more intelligent vehicle movement. This
study examines the most recent approaches that employ IoT, AI, and machine learning in
autonomous cars, along with a comparative analysis of them. An understanding of risk
mitigation technology is necessary when the transition from human to automated processes
occurs. As a result, this study examines the safety requirements and difficulties related to
autonomous cars in relation to object detection, cybersecurity, and vehicle-to-user privacy.
Furthermore, the hazards and benefits of hypothetical autonomous technology are
enumerated in order to examine the significance of artificial intelligence in managing
prospective cars. Effective frameworks and tools for self-driving cars are being developed by
corporations and researchers [6].

The sophisticated artificial intelligence language model known as GPT-3, or Generative Pre-
trained Transformer 3, was created by OpenAI, a research group devoted to the responsible
advancement of artificial intelligence. With an astounding 175 billion parameters, it is the
most potent language model yet in the third generation of the GPT series. Fundamentally,
GPT-3 is a machine learning algorithm that has been trained on a large volume of textual data
in order to produce language that is understandable and human-like. Pre-trained texts for the
model include chat logs, social media postings, novels, and articles. [7]

Future of Artificial Intelligence-

AI in Cybersecurity and Military technologies with ISA support have produced autonomous
underwater robots that don't need human intervention, making it the safest method to increase
a country's security. In the near future, we could see military robots that are capable of
performing a wide range of tasks and are just as intellectual as a soldier or camel. IA-assisted
techniques would guarantee the safest execution while also enhancing mission effectiveness.
One slightly concerning aspect of II-assisted systems is that the algorithm it uses is not fully
explicable. The most important point to note here is that deep neural networks are growing
faster and still developing. There may be severe consequences if technology loses its grip or
makes poor decisions on its own [8].

AI-powered systems would effectively replicate the campaign with access to historical data and
provide accurate results rather than investing thousands of dollars on a campaign to see if it would
benefit a certain pool of target audiences. This would revolutionize marketing by giving companies
and brands a safe location to invest their funds. Smart sentiment analysis tools and approaches might
make reaching out to potential consumers simpler, generating leads and converting them to sales,
determining the market share of a new product before launching, and conducting competitive
research. [9]

Risk-

One of the biggest concerns experts cite is around consumer data privacy, security, and AI.
Americans have a right to privacy, established in 1992 with the ratification of the
International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. But many companies already skirt data
privacy violations with their collection and use practices, and experts worry this may increase
as we start utilizing more AI [10]. Overreliance on AI systems may lead to a loss of
creativity, critical thinking skills, and human intuition. Striking a balance between AI-assisted
decision-making and human input is vital to preserving our cognitive abilities [11].

Conclusion-

AI has flourished in the twenty-first century, revolutionizing industries and spurring

creativity. AI has a clear influence on everything from everyday comforts to breakthroughs in
healthcare. But going forward, ethical issues, human-AI cooperation, and prudent regulation
are essential to guarantee AI stays a useful tool. Through careful use of its potential, we may
create a future in which artificial intelligence augments human talents [12]
