SUBJECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR 2025/6

A LEVEL COURSES
(Requires 5x GCSEs @ 4+ or equivalent plus subject specific requirements)

• The majority of our students will study 3 A level or Vocational courses and commit to these subjects
for 2 years. Students can select 3 A levels, 3 BTEC or AAQ qualifications, or a combination of both
pathways. As part of our broader curriculum, students will also study for an AS qualification in
Mathematical Studies, IT Data Analytics, or Extend Project Qualification (EPQ).

• Some very able students may choose to study 4 A Level subjects in Year 12. This is dependent
upon the combination of subjects being studied and the performance of students across all subjects
at GCSE and is agreed on an individual basis for each student following an interview at the time of
enrolment.

• In the event a student meets our academic entry requirements but does not meet subject specific
requirements, if they wish for consideration to be given to extenuating circumstances, they should
submit details of these in writing to the AHT for 6th form and this will be considered by them and the
Senior Deputy Headteacher/another member of the senior leadership team.
