Section A

Q.6. Short-answer questions: The examiner will set eight short questions from
the prescribed text, Fluency in English, out of which a student must
attempt any five (in not more than 40-60 words each). (15 marks)

Q.7. Long answer-question: The examiner shall give four questions from
Fluency in English. The student will attempt any three (in 150 words
each).
(15 marks)

Q.8. Literary terms and concepts. Eight terms shall be given out of which the
student will attempt any five (in not more than 50-60 words).

Learning Objectives of the Course:


 To develop deeper knowledge of literary genres and concepts
 To help the students relate to the textual themes to the contemporary
socio-cultural context
 To identify literary conventions and discourses through close reading of
the prescribed texts.

Pedagogy of the Course:


a) The paper requires 3 hours of lecture-based teaching per week and 2-
hours of practical per week during which hands-on training is to be given.
