In today's fast-paced world, it's easy for the younger generation to become
disconnected from their cultural roots. However, we believe that instilling a
sense of pride and appreciation for our heritage is essential for their holistic
development.

This summer, encourage your child to read a series of heritage-focused stories


that will not only be educational but also enjoyable.

Note: - Follow the guidelines given by the teachers to complete specific activities. All the
work must be done on A4 sheets or as directed. Homework of all the subjects should be
placed in one folder. The submission must be done on or before 20.06.2024.

ENGLISH

1. Read the poem - The Road Not Taken:


 Summarize it in your words.
 Write the message conveyed by the poet through the poem.
 Make a list of poetic devices used in the poem
2. Write the poem 'Mike Teavee' by Roald Dahl given in your text book and memorize the
poem by heart.
3. Write a self-composed poem based on related or similar theme as that of the poem 'Mike
Teavee':
 Illustrate the self-composed poem.
 Keep same rhyme scheme in all the stanzas.
 Enrich the beauty of the poem by using at least three poetic devices.
4. 'Digital payment' is helping India in reducing the cost of printing and transporting currency
notes, curbing black money and giving people a convenient way for financial transactions
or payments. Write an article to highlight the impacts of digital payment in India.
HINDI
1. लाख से बनी वस्तुओं के प्रचार प्रसार हे तु एक ववज्ञापन तैयार करें |
2. अपनी वकसी भी बस यात्रा का अनुभव 80 से 100 शब्दं में सवचत्र साझा करें |
3. श्रंगार रस या वीर रस की कदई कववता याद करके A4 साइज पेपर पर वलखें |

DISCOVERIES & INVENTIONS: WONDERS OF SCIENCE
Find out about any one scientific phenomenon / process that has made a remarkable impact on
human life. Make static / working model or design experiment that demonstrates and explains
the scientific phenomenon. Write a report on your model/experiment design and explain the
scientific process / phenomenon and its application in making human life better.
You can chose from a wide range of topics that highlight impact of science on Agriculture,
Human health , transport, technology , communication , commerce, engineering so on
SOCIAL SCIENCE
1. My case Study: Conserve and Preserve
Make a project report after doing research on any one aspect of environmental degradation.
You could choose a variety of issues related to the environment, as risks to forests and wild

life, rivers, soil, impact of rapid industrialization, impact of vehicles, etc. Find out the causes
of the case of environment degradation chosen by you, its impact on our lives and efforts
needed to restore the balance. Site examples of environment degradation by choosing case
studies from across the world. Paste relevant photographs and provide related data to your
case study.
MAP WORK
2. On the outline map of India mark and label the following:
 Two Portuguese colonies in western India
 Two French colonies in South India
 Two English colonies in southern India
 The region ruled by Tipu Sultan
 The three presidencies
 The regions where Permanent Settlement was introduced.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
1. Write the following python programs along with output. (on an A4 sheet)
a. Write a program to ask age of a person and check whether he or she is eligible to vote
or not.
b. Write a program to ask a number from the user and check whether it is odd or even.
c. Write a program to make simple calculator (+, -, *, /).
d. Write a program to ask a number from the user and display its table.
e. Write a program to ask a number from the user and display its factorial.
