Knowledge
1. To reinforce analytical skills already learned, and build on these skills to further increase your "portfolio" of useful analytical tools
for operations tasks.
2. To increase the knowledge, and broaden the perspective of the world in which you will contribute your talents and leadership in
business operations.
3. Understand the core features of the operations and production management function at the operational and strategic levels,
specifically the relationships between people
4. Design, support, and evaluate health and safety programs and implement procedures using project management principles and
processes appropriate to the task.
Skills
1. Apply basic adult learning and assessment principles in the design, development and delivery of training and information for
differing levels within the workplace.
2. To gain some ability to recognize situations in a production system environment that suggests the use of certain quantitative
methods to assist in decision making on operations management and strategy process, technology, productivity and quality and
how it contributes to the competitiveness of firms.
3. Grasp the significance of controlling actual, on-hand inventory as both a physical object (shelf count) and as an intangible object
(record count and monetary worth)
Values
1. Shall obtain an understanding of how Industrial Planning processes and Material management contribute to high availability,
safety and profit and then becomes an important factor of competitiveness in industrial processes and public administration

All students will evaluate themselves and their fellow group members with respect to contributions to group function. This
evaluation will contribute to the class standing portion of the course grade and will be used primarily in deciding borderline
grades.

Proper Clothing: One of the responsibilities of the students is to wear school uniforms during classes. Wearing sleepers inside
the classroom will not be allowed to enter the class unless there are specific reason for not wearing shoes (there is a heavy rain
or flood). Wearing shorts or sando is prohibited.

Academic Honesty Policy: It is part of your education to learn responsibility and self-discipline, particularly with regards to
academic honesty. The most important issue of academic honesty is cheating. Cheating is defined to include an attempt to
defraud, deceive, or mislead the instructor in arriving at an honest assessment. Plagiarism is a form of cheating that involves
presenting as one’s own work the ideas or work of another.

All portions of any test, project, or final exam submitted by you for a grade must be your own work, unless you are
instructed to work collaboratively. Specific requirements will be described for collaborative projects, but all work
presented must be the work of members of that group. Research materials used must be properly cited. Cheating in a
major course examination by a student will entail a failing mark 5.0 for the given course. Cheating, dishonesty or
plagiarism in papers and other works will entail zero (0) score for the said requirement.
