with projections for growth to the year 2050.
In the year 2000, the population of India was estimated to be around 1 billion people, whereas the
population of China was around 1.25 billion.
From the year 2000 to 2020 the population of China steadily increased by around 150 million,
while the Indian population had a tremendous increase by more than 1/3 of their population (over
300 million).
Nowadays, both nations are nearly the same in size, but China has perhaps 50 million people over
India. Both nations are expected to reach the same numbers by the year 2030, at around 1.45
billion people each.
From the year 2030 to the year 2050, the Indian population is expected to continue growing
rapidly, reaching 1.6 billion in 2050. The population of China, on the other hand, is projected to
decline and return to the 2015 numbers of around 1.4 billion people.

Many people go through life doing work that they hate or have no talent for.
Why does this happen? What are the consequences of this situation?
In today’s world, various life circumstances and the state of the global economy urge people to
pick up jobs that are ill-fitted for their skillset and have nothing to do with their interests. This
happens for different reasons, some of which will be covered in this essay.
The most obvious and the most common reason is when the job market in certain fields is
overflowing and there are simply not enough offers for everybody. This creates increased
competition among job-seekers, which makes it impossible to get a well-paid job unless you have
years of prior experience on the job and a ton of qualifications to make you stand out from the
crowd. And how do you gain that experience if you’re expected to have it to even get that job in
the first place?
This turns into a vicious cycle where you have to go out of your way, taking unpaid internships for
years and doing all kinds of crazy things to get those years of experience to get the job of your
dreams.
A lot of people are simply not ready to make those sacrifices, which is why they end up getting a
job they aren’t particularly fond of.
This situation affected me personally once upon a time, when I had to become a personal trainer in
a gym, because that job for some reason paid 4-5 times more than my true passion, which is a
teacher of English. I had absolutely no desire to train people, and to add insult to injury, I was way
more qualified as a teacher of English, having spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of
my time to obtain all the necessary qualifications.
With that all being said, getting a job you truly enjoy and are really good at takes time, energy and
sacrifice, which are the things that most people either do not possess or just are not ready to
spend chasing a job of their dreams. It makes them agree to a job they do not enjoy and have no
talent for.
