 Read the following passage and answer the questions :

As soon as the good fairy waved her wand, the large pumpkin became a lovely coach and the six white
mice turned into strong ponies. It was now time for Cinderella to go to the ball at the royal palace. Her
stepmother and the two ugly sisters had gone ahead, never even dreaming that Cinderella would follow.

‘Come back by twelve o’clock,’ the fairy godmother warned. Cinderella arranged her beautiful gown in
the coach and sat down. Soon the coach reached the royal palace. Cinderella
entered the ballroom. When she walked down the marble staircase, the Prince’s
eyes opened wide in surprise. Never had he seen such a beautiful girl. He crossed
the ballroom and bowing low before her, he asked her to dance with him. The band
struck up a tune. The handsome prince and the beautiful girl whirled around the
ballroom while all the guests looked with wonder.

 Read the following passage and answer the questions :

I am a small green insect, a grasshopper. By digging a hole in the ground, I live on the edge of a big
garden. In the morning when the sun is bright and warm, I dance around in the grassy
meadows chirping away in the sun. I am fond of spring and summer. People say, I have
a quite large head on a fairly long body. I have two feelers. I can hear well as I have
large ears on my forelegs. I can see with my two big eyes. Although I use my fore legs
for walking about, but for leaping I use my strong rear legs. Being an herbivore, I eat only plants.

One sunny morning before stepping out of the hole I peeped out as we had been taught by our parents
that birds, small animals and children are dangers to us. Thereafter, hiding amongst tall green grass I
began to chirp and sing. It echoed across the fields. I saw a few children who came to pick flowers.
They could hear me clearly, but wondered where the music came from. After a while I stopped singing
as I felt afraid of them.

Before I end my story, I must tell you the secret of how a grasshopper like me becomes a little musician
in a unique way. We do not sing with our throats, as the singing birds do. We use our wings to strike the
edges of our legs, just like a musician plays on the string of his musical instrument with his bow.
