I WILL BE INVESTIGATING COLOR IN FILM AND THE PSYCHOLOGY BEHIND IT ALL. FOR EXAMPLE, COLOR IN A HORROR MOVIE WOULD OR COULD BE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO THE COLORING IN, SAY, A ROMCOM. (E.G., LA LA LAND, THE MATRIX, THE WIZ, ETC.) THOUGH, IN SOME INSTANCES, I’M SURE IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE SWITCHED COLOR PALETTES AND WHY. I WILL CREATE 8 POSTERS IN CANVA WITH 8 FILMS THAT DEMONSTRATED HOW IMPORTANT THE USE OF COLOR IS. I LEARNED THAT EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE OUR OWN INTERPRETATIONS OF WHAT EACH COLOR COULD MEAN OR WHAT EMOTION IT ELICITS, WITH ENOUGH CONVINCING, ANY COLOR CAN MEAN ANYTHING. RED CAN HAVE JUST ABOUT FIVE DIFFERENT MEANINGS IF YOU DO IT RIGHT.
OBVIOUSLY, COLOR IS IMPORTANT WHEN TRYING TO DEPICT A STORY BUT I
LEARNED JUST HOW IMPORTANT IT IS. I LEARNED JUST HOW DEEP IT COULD GO. FOR EXAMPLE, JOKER REALLY HELPED ME UNDERSTAND AUTHUR AS A CHARACTER BY SIMPLY USING THREE PRIMARY COLORS!
