INTELLIGENT STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

The main objective of this project is to add mobility and automation to the process of
managing student information in an institute. Today it is of the essence to not only use the
predictable forms of statement, but also new forms such as cell phone technology, for faster and
easier communication among the students. The approach of communication is Android. The
application will be used by students, teachers and parents. Hence, in order to overcome this
problem a smart phone based application using Android can be used to make this process easier,
secure and less error prone. Apps also exchange sensitive information with remote servers. The
Android platform provides a number of algorithms for encrypting sensitive information. Student
management system is to create an application that can provide query management system
through android mobile phones. The Staff provide the individual students details using android
application. Using this app parents and students can easily check their details of the student.
Parents using register number of their students they can login the application, for Security
purpose OTP generate to the register phone number. After completing login then it move it to
student information system (SIS), like student details, student academic, extracurricular activities
and placement drive.

Student management system is to create an application that can provide query


management system through android mobile phones. Student query management system android
application tracks all the difficulties of a student from the day one to the end of his course which
can be used for all reporting purpose, tracking enrolment, progress in the course, completed
semesters years, final exam query and all these will be available for future reference too.
SYSTEM ANALYSIS

EXISTING SYSTEM:

Presently to maintain information about different aspects, the collage is using manual
process i.e. using books and ledgers. Now the collage requires a computerized environment
where it is easy to storing information about student details, their attendance, course details, and
schedule so on. So after seeing this we know that this manual process is time consuming, and it’s
difficult to maintain the data also and its leads to wastage of stationary and increasing human
efforts to maintain this all. Parents are not known the information of students update. So by using
this computerized application through mobility service its get efficient and get replaced this
entire problem.

DISADVANTAGES:

 The content is not well organized and hence difficult to understand.


 Each category of user will have a different interface.
 Every time parents have to go college and asking about the student information
 More time consuming.
 Parents cannot get a knowledge of students.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:

There is lots of information required in the education institution but we are concentrating
on Student Information System (SIS) using Android, as it is very essential in day to day life in
academic. The main purpose of the student management system is to provide student
information, like, Student results, Exam details, Event details, Placement. In our proposed
system there are two phases, Admin and Student. The admin (staff) who has authentication for
editing and modifying the details like exam details, event and placement, etc, In student/parents
phase, they are only eligible for login, register the subjects and also they can view all the details
posted by admin. The proposed system is easy to use, it keeps all records, needs less memory
space, no need for looking college notice board, create the awareness of permissions to the user.

 Hard Disk : 500 GB.
 RAM : 4 GB.
 Monitor : 15'' Inch VGA Colour.
 Mouse : Logitech.
 Mobile : Android Mobile

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

 Operating system : Windows-7/10/11.


 Coding Language : Java 1.8 and PHP 5.6.
 IDE : ADT 22.0.
 Backend : MySQL 10.
 Web Server : XAMPP 5.6.
