The document outlines Ember's developmental progress in four key areas: personal and social competence, effective learning, physical and motor competence, and safety and health. Ember shows strengths in attention, pretend play, and counting, but requires support in writing skills. Child's Developmental Progress

This form describes your child's developmental progress in achieving four broad desired results for all children:
❖ Children are personally and socially competent
❖ Children are effective learners
❖ Children show physical and motor competence
❖ Children are safe and healthy

Your child's strengths include...

One of Ember strengths is that she maintains attention with adult support during activities. She asks the
teacher for support to help put a diaper on the baby .Ember develops the capacity to pay attention to
people when doing an activity. Ember joins the music area and she follows the teachers movements
according to the song . Ember demonstrates that she knows the shapes when she is in the block area.
Ember develops the capacity to use objects to represent other objects in pretend play. She rocks the
baby to sleep and pretends she is sleeping. She pretends the baby diaper is dirty too. Ember is using
her finger muscles while she stacks blocks with both hands. She counts 1,2,3 ,4, 5,6 all the way to ten.
Ember engages with tools and materials for painting as a sensory experience. She uses both her hands
to make handprints with the paint.

Areas your child is currently working on include...

Ember is developing well in all areas with support from teachers. Some areas where she continues
to need more support is in writing skills. She is having difficulty writing some letters. I am going to
continue supporting her in writing her name in the classroom.

We (teachers, caregivers, families) can help your child learn and develop in the program by...

1. Having more activities on writing techniques

2. More hands on activities like working more with Play-Doh to strengthen the finger muscles, building
letters, model writing
3. Work on social interactions
