Thank you for providing the Toronto District School Board with notice of your intention to
provide a home schooling program for your child(ren)

The TDSB considers your child(ren) legally excused from attendance at school for the 2002/03
school year in accordance with subsection 21 (2) (a) of the Education Act.

If you would like your child(ren) to participate in the assessments for students in Grades 3, 6,and
9 and/or in the Ontario Secondary Literacy Test (normally given to students in Grade 10), that are
administered by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO), you should contact
your neighbourhood school(s) indicated in your Notice of Intent, for information about the dates,
times and locations.

Should you wish to access the Policy and Program Memorandum No. 131, “Home Schooling”
please contact the Ministry of Education, Public Inquiries, (416)-325-2929, or view it on the
Ministry’s website www.edu.gov.on.ca.
