Choose ONE of the following options. Be sure to include various details from the text. Your project should
reflect a thorough reading and understanding of the play and the characters’ complexities. (100 points)
1. Rewrite the end of the play as if Macbeth has changed his mind, changed
his ways and does not die at the end. Everything else is up to you, so long
as it follows in a believable way from the rest of the play.
(2-3 pgs typed; submitted to Canvas).
3. Write a Medieval newspaper article or create a Medieval news report video about a major incident in
Macbeth . Include details that reflect the time period & setting.
(2 pgs typed / at least 5 mins; both options would be submitted to Canvas)
4. Write and perform a rap from the perspective of Macbeth or Lady Macbeth that reveals relationships,
motives, conflicts, and consequences from the play. The performance can
be live in front of the class or as a video which will be played for the
class. Audio files only will not be accepted. [at least 1 pg typed; the text
(and video, if you choose) of your song must be submitted to Canvas]
5. Create Macbeth: the board game: Create the physical game board &
pieces. Include a written manual including an objective, rules, and
game play instructions that represent the major themes of the play (ambition, greed, betrayal, gender
roles, and supernatural elements), while also giving insight into characterization and the overall plot line
of the play. (board game submitted in person, image submitted on Canvas)
6. Create a tarot card (on an 8.5" x 11" piece of white card stock) that is representative of one the main
characters (a list of options will be provided). On Canvas, you will find a simplistic explanation
picture of some of the major tarot cards. You are to choose a tarot card and
match it to a character/characters. You will create your own new tarot card with
your own unique artwork that shows your interpretation of the character. Don't just
put the person/people. Include elements that symbolize who that character really is
and represents a plot point they were in. Submit a written explanation of how the
various elements of your artwork represent aspects of that tarot card/character.
(artwork submitted in person, 1 pg typed explanation submitted on Canvas)
