(ii) a12 𝑥4 – a4 𝑥12

(iii)
(iv) 121 b2−88 bc + 16 c2

2. Factorise the expression and divide them as directed:

(i) 4m2 - 16mn + 16n2 by 2( m – 2n )
(ii) 4yz ( z2 + 6z – 16 ) by 2y ( z + 8 )
(iii) 44(𝑥4 – 5 𝑥3 – 24 𝑥2 ) by 11 𝑥 (𝑥 – 8 )
(iv) 39y3 ( 50 y2 – 98 ) by 26 y2 ( 5y + 7 )
3. Find the quotient when 44(𝑥4 –5𝑥3–24 𝑥2) is divided by 22(𝑥 – 8)
4. Factorise : (i) 27𝑥3 – 21𝑥2 + 15𝑥4 (ii) 5 p2 − 25p + 20
5. HOTS:

(i) Perform the long division method to find the other factor:

(3 𝑥2 − 4 𝑥 + 1) ÷ (𝑥 − 1)

(ii) Use the long polynomial division to find the quotient.

(27 𝑥3 + 9 𝑥2 − 3 𝑥 − 9) ÷ (3 𝑥 − 2)
