This research proposal investigates the effects of exercise on Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), a neurological disorder characterized by an uncontrollable urge to move the legs. The study will utilize a cross-sectional survey and analyze data using SPSS, focusing on the impact of various forms of exercise on RLS symptoms and related conditions. Previous findings suggest that regular exercise can alleviate RLS symptoms and improve quality of life, particularly in patients with comorbidities such as iron deficiency and depression.

Title: “Effects of Exercise on restless leg syndrome”
RLS is a neurological sensorimotor disorder that can cause uncontrollable urge to move legs, usually because of uncomfortable sensation (Allen, picchietti, et al,2014) Aerobic exercises like running, cycling and swimming can help alleviate RLS symptoms. Resistance training improve circulation. Gentle stretching and strengthening reduce muscle tension. Frequency of regular exercise, ideally 3-4 times per week. Cross sectional survey will be done on patients using RLS rating scale. Questionnaire and data will be analyzed through SPSS version 21. Mean standard deviation will be used to present quantitative data. This study will use convenient sampling technique. RLS also linked with certain medical conditions such as iron deficiency, Urenia, Hypothyroidism, Depression, Fibronyyalgia, Diabeties, Peripheral neuropathy and pregnancy. Symptoms were associated with poor sleep quality, poor daytime function and depressed mood-(Wagner, waltere and Lisher,2004) Treatment of RLS, such as iron deficiency, greatly relieves symptoms by receiving iron supplementation. Medications that increase dopamine in brain m Drugs Affecting calcium channels. Muscle relaxation and sleep medications(Darvishi et al,2020) Hemodialysis patients experience heavy symptom burden leads to decreased quality of life. Effect of exercise on RLS, depression and sleep quality. This meta analysis was conducted to identify whether exercise training is beneficial. Fiffteen RCTS that meet inclusion criteria included. This showed that exercise training was effective on RLS(p<0.001) (Yuan-Yuan Song, Lin Chen, et al,2018)
A Single-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial To Evaluate The Effect of 6 Months of Progressive Aerobic Exercise Training in Patients With Uraemic Restless Legs Syndrome
