PROJECT IDENTIFICATION:

In our school and communtinuty, many studients and communty member re


suffering from skin diseases like skin sunburn, skin irritation, psoriasis and acne.

Locally made soap from orange leaves, particulaly those made from leaves of
sweet orange(Citrus sinesis), are believed to have potential benefits for the skin
duue to the presece of various compound like antioxidant, vitamin, (especially
vitamin c), and essential oils while scicentific studies on soaps made specifically
from orange leaves are limitted, these soaps may offer genral skincare benefits,
incuding control over certian skin conditions. here are some skin diseases or
issues that might allievated with such soap

PROJECT LITLE:

MAKING HERBAL BAR SOAP FOR LACOL PLANTS MATERIALS IN THE


ENVIRONMENT

PROJECT PUROSE:

· To help prevent and treat skin infection by reducing bacterial growth and
promoting healthy skin which oranges and their leaves contiann natural
compound like flavoniods, which have antibacterial properties.

· to help protect the skin from demage cause by free radicals, reducing
inflammation and promoting healing and condition likes acne, eczema, and
psoriasis by the help of vitamin c and other anitioxidant found in oranges.

· To help hydrate the and prevent dryness through essential oil found in
oranges and oranges leaves that can act as natural moiturizers to individuals
with condition like eczema or dry skin.

· To help promote skin brightening and tone by reducing the appearence of


blinches through regular use of orange-based soap.

· To help to remove toxin from the skinand promote the detoxification


astringent properties of orange peel.

· To promote using locally source, traditional in gredients to make soap can


create awaerness about natural remedies and empower people with
knowledge to care for skin in a sustainernable way which encourages self-
sufficient in managing health concerns.

· To provide inexpensive oranges and their leaves and easy to find hence
making these soap affprdable obtion for people in the community which
can be at effective-cost alternate to commercial skin care products.

PROJCT OBJECTIVES:

The objective of making soap from oranges and their leaves to control skin
diseases in the community could articulated as follow;

To create a natural, effective soap using the beneficial properties of oranges and
their leaves for the purpose of promoting skin health and addressing common skin
diseases within the the community. This soap will harness the antimicrobrial,
anti-flammatory, and antioxidant properties of cirus and leaves to help prevent or
alleviate condition like acne, eczema, rashes, fungal infection and other skin
irrrtation. The iniative aims to provide sustainable eco-friendly altenative to
chemical-base skin products, controbuting to better hygiene, health, and well
being for local resisdent, while also utilazing locally available resources to suppost
the community econbomic development.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION:

PROJECT RESOURCES/MATERIALS:

· To help in conllengen product, which can improve skin skin texture and
reduce the appearance of scars or blemished caused by vitamin c,
apowerful anti oxidant that promotes skin heading.

· To help move the skin and fight infection that cause or worsen skin
conditions due to flavonoids in oranges which have anti-inflammatory and
anti-bacterial properties
· to help in exfloliating the skin , removing dead skin cells and promoting skin
appearence which senstively on inflamed skin.

· to promote community health in more organ and holistic way by making


from local natural ingredients which reduce dependance,contains harmful
additives or environmental impacts.

· to help people with sensitive skin, children or eldery individuals who are
more prone to skin irritation from harsher chemical products to gather and
safer

· Orange peel (fresh or dried ):


· contians vitamin c, anti oxidant, and essential oils
· helps in brightening the skin , reducing pigmentation,and fighting acne.
· can be used in powdered form or steep[[ed in oils to extract the benefits.
Orange leaves (fresh or dried):
· contians essentials oils that have antibacterial oils antifungal properties .
· can be infused into oils or used in powdered form to address fungal
infections and promote skin healing.
· leaves are rich in anti oxidant , which help in soothe irritated skin and
promotte regenration.

Equipment needed:
1. soap-making mold:
· silicon or wooden molds can be used for shaping the soap

· thermometer to measure the teperature of oils and lye solutions.


2. mixing bowls
· for mixing oils, lye solutions, nad any additives
3. hand blender or stick blender
· for mixing oils and lye together until trace (the point at which the soap
begins to thicken).
5.proptective gear
· gloves,goggles,and long sleeves are essential when working wirh lye.
6.cuting tools
· a knife or soap cutter to slice the soap once it's set.
