4-Linear Models (2)

The document outlines various representations of linear equations, including gradient-intercept, point-gradient, and standard forms. It includes exercises for direct variation functions, modeling linear functions, and piecewise functions, prompting users to derive equations, sketch graphs, and analyze similarities. Additionally, it provides practice references for both standard level (SL) and higher level (HL) students.

Linear Models

Recall that there are three common ways to represent a linear equation:

• Gradient-intercept form:

• Point-gradient form:

• Standard or general form:

variable.
ii. Sketch its graph on an appropriate domain.

a) The circumference C of a circle in terms of its radius r.

b) The currency conversion between US$ d and euros e. One euro is worth US$ 1.02.
