Job Description :
Job Summary:
This role is to handle technical requests raised by end users of our products. The primary responsibility
is troubleshooting and resolving customer queries, and throughout the work day, update log details for
future reports and to provide customer updates. This will also assist by contributing to product
development and processes improvement.
Skill: Strong knowledge of Programming Languages (preferably Python), Data Base Management
system, Linux OS. Certification in ITIL and CCNA will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
L1 Engineer is the first point of contact for clients and hence the L1 Engineer is responsible for
receiving and responding to Customer calls and emails.
Log ticket with complete and detailed customer queries. Obtain additional details from the customer
whenever necessary.
Perform first level of analysis on queries and provide quick resolution. If not, escalate the
issue/query to the next level with proper escalation details.
Liaise with customers to help or resolve technical issues.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Configure CRON jobs on Linux OS.
Analyze incoming requests, make initial determinations, and prioritize appropriately within a
dynamic workload.
Monitor and track tickets, check ticket’s status at regular intervals and communicate the updates to
concerned client as well as related internal and external stakeholders.
Investigate and troubleshoot application related issues raised by the users/clients.
Effectively communicate procedural and technical issues within product development team for
immediate and effective resolution of product related bugs.
Contribute as an individual and as a team member to maintain excellent performance.
Maintain proper logs for the ticket and create proper document for knowledge base, once the ticket
is closed.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
Strong conceptual knowledge related to computer network and IT applications.
Working Knowledge of database (PostgreSQL/MS SQL).
Knowledge regarding Application architecture and other tiers.
Knowledge on Linux and Windows Server
Knowledge of production support, client interaction and issue resolution.
Good communication skills. Ability to articulate clearly in English.
Good Analytical, Problem Solving Skills and Interpersonal Skills.
Ready to work in 24/7 - rotational shifts.
