Commutator Slot Shaver

The Commutator Slot Shaver is a simple little hand tool to lightly
chamfer the edges of commutator bars after undercutting. Pull it along
the copper, shaving off the burs — flip it over and do the other edge.

Mini-Bar Mica Hand Saw

This hand-held undercutting saw is a handy way of accurately undercutting those small commutators where the use of a powered under-
cutter is too awkward or cannot be justified.
This tool uses replaceable blades which are ground to specific thicknesses so that the proper width undercut can be made. The blade
is reversible so that it can be used for either a “Push” or a “Draw” cut.

Abisofix® is a portable wire stripping machine with that is handy and lightweight. It provides neat stripping of round magnetic copper wires in a vari-

 Martindale Automatic Wire Stripper 9
Makes Wire Stripping Fast and Easy

Martindale Automatic Wire Strippers are always ready for use. They require no “cocking” or setting.
Their triple action of clamping the wire, cutting the insulation, and stripping it, is automatically timed and performed
with one squeeze on the handles. Length of strip is regulated by amount of wire extending beyond the blades.
Maximum strip is 7/8”; for longer, just repeat process. Wire size is shown beneath each stripping hole.
After the stripping action, a partial release of pressure on the handles opens jaws and wire is removed. Full release
of pressure returns the tool to the starting position, ready for next strip.
Blades are interchangeable and replaceable.

This Stripper is the answer to suggestions made by Electricians who use
such a tool for long periods. It is large enough to fit the hand and the round-

Twin Wheel Wire Stripper Strips wire from 8 to 46 AWG.

The abrasive method of stripping wire utilizes either wire or fiberglass brushes to abrade
the insulation off the conductor. This type of stripping is both quicker and less damaging
to the wire than scraping processes. This unit can handle round, square, rectangular or
oval shaped magnet wire and also standard wire with most common types of insulation.
This tool also removes oxides from component leads quickly and easily to promote bet-
ter soldered connections. A built-in guard affords protection from fingers coming in con-
tact with the wire of fiberglass wheels.

Hand Knurling Tool

Knurling expands the diameter of a shaft from approximately .001” to .010”, to

allow for a tighter press fit of a bearings inner race. The self-centering design
of this three knurling wheel tool distributes the pressure evenly. It’s portable in
nature and can be taken out into the field, saving tear-down time and expense
returning equipment to the shop to perform this operation on a lathe.

No. 38-A Carbide Rotary Bur Kit

The No. 38-A Kit includes a high-speed precision manufactured air grinder with 1/4” collet. This
grinder is similar to the one above except it’s operating speed is 21,000 r.p.m. to accommodate the
5 solid carbide 1/4” diameter rotary burs included with the kit.
Burs included are RB4, RC4, RD4, RH4, and RJ4; all are 1/4” diameter cutting surface and shank,
of five different shapes. All are “double-cut” making them suitable for use on either extremely hard
or relatively soft materials. Burs can be re-ordered by number and are listed on page 30.
The high quality grinder is manufactured for Martindale by ARO® and is a compact 5-3/4” long;
