Moral, general legal and financial arguments for ALL actions

Moral, general legal and financial Sedem Aviation Handling Services has a moral obligation to protect all its workers. Our employees come to
arguments work to earn a wage, not to face the risk of falling ill, both now and in the future, due to their work activities.
Certain health conditions or injuries can have a significant impact on the lives of workers and their families
and friends. Long-term injuries or ill health can also adversely affect our workers’ mental health. Additionally,
the mental well-being of other employees could be impacted if they witness serious injuries to their
colleagues.
Sedem Aviation Handling Services is legally required to ensure the safety and health of its workers under the
ILO’s Safety and Health Convention (C155).
The financial implications of worker injuries can be categorized into three areas:
1. Costs associated with injured workers, including sick pay, wages for replacement workers, medical
expenses, and lost working time.
2. Replacement costs for equipment and infrastructure. For example, if control is lost over a vehicle moving
around the apron and it crashes into one of the garage walls.
3. Costs related to enforcement actions.
Possible enforcement actions that Sedem Aviation Handling Services could face include prohibition notices
(which halt all work on a specific activity) or improvement notices (which require issues to be resolved within a
certain timeframe) issued by regulators. Such actions could significantly impact the organization if these
activities must be suspended.
Additionally, the organization could be subject to civil claims from workers who become ill due to work-related
activities. Some of these claims may arise years after an employee has left Sedem Aviation Handling
Services. The compensation amounts for civil claims can be substantial, and legal fees (including attorneys
and court costs) are likely to be very high. It is important to note that many of these costs may not be

recoverable from the insurance company.
If a serious incident occurs, the company’s reputation could suffer significantly, potentially leading to the loss
of contracts, particularly in the insurance sector.
