Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Every good team consists of a few things.

1-2 tanks (the ones taking the bulk of the
damage. Such as Thinker, Paladin, Gilles)
1-2 DPS, 3 if varying DPS types (burst,
sustain, AOE, targeted) (your damage dealers.
Toko, Julia, Laura etc)
2-4 Supports and buffers/Debuffers (like Cui
pan who removes CC, Silas who disables the
highest attack enemy and Cupid who buffs the
heroes in spots 1,2)

When team building, it’s important to remember

special boosts you can gain from different
compositions. See attached diagrams.

*Faction bonus in star tech adds onto the

faction bonus chart. Generally not worth
upgrading.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Most DPS heroes you encounter earlier game

target the front row, so it’s best to put your
tanks in the front. Some tanks need to be in
position 1. Read each hero’s skills. For heroes
such as Cui pan, who rely on getting to half
life for their special ability, try put them in
positions 3 or 4. The DPS, bar those who have
counter abilities (like GS) go in the back.

Heroes such as Runner and Ronin are less

effective in PVP than PVE because their buffs
rely on surviving for extended periods. While
good for longer battles (PVE), PVP battles are
more often than not, over very fast. The
positions you’re using for time dependent
heroes could better be used on heroes that have
perma-buffs etc. (like Kong, whose speed
ability is from the start.)

Special note: PVE modes such as void, hub, wish

boss, QI have reflectant damage. Meaning the
faster you do big damage, the faster you die.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Because the damage they deal you directly

scales from the damage you do them. Keep that
in mind when building your teams.

Building your team around DPS

Generally when building a team, you have two

things in mind. The need to construct a team to
counter the one your opponent is using, and
simultaneously constructing a team that
compliments your DPS. This is where team
building becomes more complex, and where for
most players, from where the issues with the
success of their team stem.

We will break down team construction into two

parts.
First, countering your opponent, or, in modes
where you don’t know what your opponent will
use, anticipating the best way to survive.

Magner – Magner is a newer

Tank/Debuffer. His unique ability to negate the
effect of opponent speed declining skills makes
him a powerful addition to any team. Add to
that, that he can remove CC, or prevent CC
(except absolute freeze), and that he buffs
your entire team’s BA and ATK. In addition to
these, he himself deals true damage scaled from
his HP, and can resist one lethal (would
otherwise kill him) blow.
Takeaway: stops your team being slowed, buffs
BA, removes CC. Good against teams using Bow,
Wings, Anubis (note: will not stop Anubis
preventing revive on Orochi/Einstein)
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Irena – Another newer hero, this one a

support/debuffer. Irena removes CC from all
allies with her ulti, and one ally with her
coordinate attack (an action she takes whenever
another ally takes action.) In addition to
this, she heals allies based on her HP, and
increases ally crit DMG. She can remove
Balance’ Lunar eclipse, not absolute freeze
(Elodie ulti), however.
Takeaway: Dispels CC from allies, heals team,
builds team crit DMG

Cui Pan – Heals allies to his ATK,

clears their CC (minus Lunar Eclipse and
Absolute Freeze) and makes them immune to CC
(minus aforementioned) for 1 round, when he
reaches 50% or less remaining health. Cui Pan
also raises ally Armor and lowers enemy armor,
and raises ally attack, while clearing them of
DOT (damage over time (Burn, Poison)) with his
ulti
Takeaway: clears CC, DOT from allies (minus
Lunar Eclipse and Absolute Freeze)

Poseidon – Poseidon removes buffs from

enemies (2, random) and CC from allies in her
row with her ulti. (including Lunar Eclipse,
not Absolute Freeze)
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Life – Heals allies to her HP, lowers

enemy attack. Can Revive two dead allies with
her +40.

Lucas – Heals allies to their HP, can

prevent a fatal blow (would otherwise kille
them) once every two rounds for each ally.

Einstein – Can resurrect 2 allies (3

if 9/9 relics) at the end of the turn which
they died. (countered by anubis and Cara +40,
which prevent this.)

Faith – Each enemy she hits three times

loses their shield.

Zeus – When energy is full, launches

AOE (hits everyone attack) that has the chance
to stun. If energy is full at the beginning of
the battle (Genesis or Orb), will launch this
attack prebattle. At +40, has a guaranteed stun
of one random enemy before any other hero
preround action takes place.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Elodie – When full of energy, has a

guaranteed infliction of Absolute Freeze on the
enemy with the highest attack. Can only be
dispelled by removing her frost shield, or her
casting the skill again. Coordinates with ally
active skills to give a chance of Freeze (not
absolute) to random enemies.

Eve – Has the chance to plant a seed on

enemies with her basic. For the following 3
rounds, each time the enemy attacks, they have
a chance to get twined by the seed. At the
beginning of each turn, and also upon her
death, also has the chance to twine all
enemies.

Anna – Reduces enemy healing with her

basic, with the chance to charm them. At +30,
Releases this attack preround, with one enemy
guaranteed to be charmed.

Collapse – With his ulti, causes enemy

to not gain their next 50 energy after using
their own ulti. Drains all enemies to lose 50
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

energy at the start of the battle (when 9/9

relics).

Balance – Has the chance to inflict

Lunar Eclipse on all enemies with her ulti.
After her ulti, will drain the next acting
enemy’e energy by 100. (takes 100 to ulti). At
9/9 relics, the enemy affected cannot regain
energy for the remainder of that round. At +30,
will gain an additional 50 energy each time an
active (not passive) skill is used. At +40, is
immune to Lunar Eclipse from enemy Balance.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Countering the opponent is only half of the

battle. Component two of team building is the
defeating the opponent. That comes in three
facets. Tanks, buffers and DPS.

Tanks increase your team survivability in order

for your DPS to take out the enemy team,
without being taken out themselves.

Thinker – Provides a shield to allies

with a % of his own HP. He also increases ally
armor. He also shares the damage dealt to the
ally with the highest attack. Additionally, the
more damage he takes, the less he receives. The
lower his HP becomes, the more damage he
mitigates.

Yi – All of Yi’s attacks are HP based,

but moreover, He reduces enemy damage reduction
and armor. As allies health drops, Yi gains
marks. When he hits 9 marks, he gives the whole
team a shield to a % of his HP. If Yi is
affected by CC when this occurs, he dispells
it, and gains effect res.

Logan - “eats” frontline enemy with

the highest HP, causing damage at a % of his
HP, and healing himself heal himself 75% of his
lost HP. Decreases enemy armor, and raises the
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

damage reduction of the ally in the same

column, while also applying them a shield of
his HP. Also removes any CC he is under when he
”transforms.”

Anubis – Reduces enemy Attack, Armor

and speed. At the end of each turn, deals 5% of
his HP in damage to enemies below 20% of their
HP. If he kills them, heals himself 5%.
Prevents heroes from reviving (Redemption
stigmata, Life +40, Einstein skill, Orochi)

Julianne – Julianne increases damage

received to the highest attack enemy. When they
die, she heals herself to a % of her HP.
Julianne increases all allies’ Damage Reduction
and attack.

Gilles – Shares damage received by the

two allies with the highest attack in the back
row. With his ulti, has the chance to stun up
to 4 enemies, and grants a shield up to 20% of
his HP to himself and the back row allies.
Basics also have the chance to stun, and when
Gilles is in front row, grants damage reduction
to back row.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Camilla – Deals damage based on her HP,

and heals for whatever she deals. Marks front
row enemy with lowest HP, decreasing their
armor, and spiking their attack. This means
when Time/Nydia activate, they hit them instead
of the intended hero/es.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Just as important for tanks are buffers, used

to, you guessed it, buff your DPS to maximise
their output. Some good for PVP buffers
include:

Time – with his ultimate, triggers the

ally with the highest attack to cast their
ultimate again. Heals himself and the ally with
the lowest HP % each time the enemy casts an
active skill. At 9/9 red relics, raises Broken
Armor of ally with the highest attack.
Note: Time’s ultimate can not activate the hero
with the highest attack if Nydia has already
activated them that round. Same works for
Nydia.

Nydia – Grants allies a shield to a %

of her HP, Grants damage immune and crit res to
the two allies with the highest attack upon the
death of the first enemy. Each round with her
ulti, clears the two allies of the highest ATK
of cc (minus lunar eclipse and absolute
freeze), and causes them to use their basic
attack again (or ultimate if they’re at 100
energy). Each time an enemy dies, Nydia heals
all allies for up to 20% of their lost HP.

Cupid – Increases the attack and

healing of the heroes in positions 1 and 2. If
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

cupid is in one of those positions, will divert

to position 3. Effect lasts until one of them
(not cupid) dies.

Kong – Increases ally damage

reduction. Reduces enemy armor. Increases ally
attack and speed. His buff is superseded by
Lucadia’s.

Lucadia – Increases ally speed and

attack.

Deer Girl (Loufontiel) - Heals allies

up to 9% of their lost HP. Increases ally
shield. Also increases ally damage reduction,
crit res and damage. At +30, gives all allies
Broken Armor.

Lucy – Increases back row ally attack.

Also increases ally with the highest attack’s
crit. At +30, that expands to all allies.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Of course, maximising your DPS output is

important, but so is selecting the right DPS
for your team. Each does something different,
synergises with different heroes, and
approaches their attacks differently.

Wukong (MK) - Hits enemy with lowest

HP in the front row with his ulti. When MK’s HP
drops below 50%, releases an AOE attack, while
simultaneously gaining 100% crit res, and a
shield of 40% HP. Has a coordinate attack,
where he attacks when allies do. Should he do
that 3 times in one round, will cast an
additional ultimate attack without using
energy. Best in teams with heroes that use
active skills.
Build focus: Crit, Crit DMG, Broken Armor

Darkness - Imprisons enemy in same

number position as her with her ulti. Deals
400% attack to that enemy. When they die, she
gains 100 energy. If shackle (imprison) fails,
gains speed and effect hit. At +40, becomes
immune to all CC except imprison and absolute
freeze for one round. Best paired with a hero
orb feeding her (usually Zeus, Elodie, GS,
Lucas, Kinley).
Build Focus: Effect Hit, Broken Armor, Crit,
Crit DMG
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Poseidon – Ultimate is an AOE attack,

and also removes buffs from two random enemies.
Her basic hits front line enemies. Also removes
CC from allies (minus Absolute freeze)
Build Focus: Broken Armor, Crit, Crit DMG

Julia – Attacks enemy with lowest HP %

with her ultimate, and gains 5 stacks of leaf
strike. If an ally gets an enemy to below 60%
HP, she will use her leaf strike stacks (1
stack = 1 hit). She will continue until she
either kills the target or runs out of stacks.
At the end of each turn, any stacks she hasn’t
yet used will be launched at the enemy with the
lowest HP%. Good to pair with heroes using
sustain damage (Kloris) or trigger attacks
(Baron, Pierre)
Build Focus: Crit, Crit DMG, Broken Armor

Laura – Releases a powerful attack at

the start of round one, then gains an
invincible shield for the rest of the round.
Best paired with trigger DPS (Pierre, Baron).
Build Focus: Broken Armor, Crit, Crit DMG
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Kinley – Attacks heroes in her column.

When the enemy in front row, for every attack
she launches at the hero in back row, will
launch an additional strike at all enemies in
the back row. Gains damage reduction for each
point of broken armor she has. Increases damage
received to front row enemies by all allies.
Kinley has a special ability, like GS, to
double charge orb. Best paired with an AOE
hero, or one she can orb charge, if you choose
to go that route.
Build Focus: Broken Armor, Crit, Crit DMG

Bonnie – Hits front row with her

ultimate. If the target’s HP is above 50%, adds
50% more damage. Her basic attacks increase her
Crit res, speed and damage of her ultimate.
Increases ally Broken Armor and Damage
Reduction. As she is also a buffer, better used
along with another DPS, particularly an AOE or
one that hits back row.
Build Focus (DPS): Crit, Crit DMG, Broken Armor
Build Focus (Buffer): Damage Immune, HP

Kloris – Deals true damage (not

affected by Broken Armor, crit, crit DMG as it
ignores Damage Immune). Uses AOE attacks which
cannot be prevented by CC. Deals more damage
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

based on damage she receives. Removes sustained

damage (burn, poison) from herself and to
allies with her ultimate. Once per battle, can
survive a fatal hit, which then triggers leaf
strike. Best paired with a hero that gives
direct damage (like Julia (leaf strike),
Orochi)
Build Focus: HP, ATK, Damage Immune

Knox – Hits enemy with the lowest HP

with his ultimate, 5 times. If there are no
enemies in the front row, will launch each hit
at all back row enemies. Is invincible for the
first round. His basic deals damage to the hero
with the lowest HP in the front row. Once any
hero in the front row is dead, will instead
deal damage to any enemy with the lowest HP.
The first time a front row enemy dies, he will
release an AOE attack, healing himself
completely.
Build Focus: Crit, Crit DMG, Broken Armor,
Skill DMG

Focalor (GS) - Attacks his column.

Cuts his HP in half to gain crit, crit DMG and
broken armor. Each kill by GS gives him the
ability to resist death once.
Build Focus: Crit, Crit DMG, Broken Armor
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Alcazar – Adds damage stacks of evil

possession as a coordinate attack to 2 random
enemies. Her ultimate launches an AOE attack
and more stacks. When an enemy reaches 5 stacks
of evil possession, they all explode dealing
damage. Alcazar heals each time an enemy takes
damage from evil possession. Her Broken Armor
and damage reduction increase for every enemy
hero affected by CC. Best to place in a team
containing a trigger hero (like Pierre), and
CC.
Build Focus: Crit, Crit DMG, Broken Armor

Baron – Reduces enemy healing with his

ultimate. His basic shoots front row enemies.
When an enemy dies (to any hero) Baron will
launch 4 attacks at the enemy. Dealing more if
they have less than 50% HP. Ignores shields and
invincibility. Takes less damage and gains more
speed when paired with a raider (like Julia)
Build Focus: Crit, Crit DMG, Broken Armor

Orochi – Deals sustain damage (poison)

to all heroes with his ultimate, and applies
stacks of toxic mark. Deals exclusively to back
row with his basic. If any enemy affected by
the toxic mark dies, all stacks on all heroes
will explode, dealing additional damage. Toxic
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

mark deals damage to the target every round. If

Orochi dies, the enemy is not using Anubis, nor
a +40 Cara, and you have at least one other
alive hero, the following round, Orochi will
resurrect, and cast his ultimate immediately
(once per battle). He is best paired with
heroes that are tanky. (Lucas, Kloris etc.)
Build Focus: Skill DMG, Broken Armor, Crit,
Crit DMG

Pierre – Launches an AOE attack with

his ulti, with extra damage dealt to the enemy
with the lowest HP. When any enemy dies because
of either himself or allies, Pierre triggers
waiting game. Waiting game has the chance to
drain target energy, as well as apply the CC
“silence.” Targets the enemy with the lowest
HP. Once they reach 30% health, his damage to
that hero increases. Best paired with targeted
or burst damage heroes (Laura, Julia etc).
Build Focus (support DPS): Broken Armor
Build Focus (solo DPS): Crit, Crit DMG, Skill
DMG, Broken Armor
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Some pairs you may often see in PvP include:

Laura and Pierre – A well built Laura can take

out an opponent right at the beginning of a
battle, immediately triggering Pierre’s waiting
game.

Orochi and Kloris – Kloris has the ability to

sit in an invincibility state for a round,
allowing Orochi time to utilise his revive
skill.

Julia and Baron/Pierre – Julia has powerful

target attacks that can quickly trigger
Pierre/Baron’s skills.

GS and Time – GS while wearing orb, above a

Time with Genesis can cause GS to ult up to 3
times in one round.

Darkness and Pierre/Baron – Darkness’ powerful

imprison can cause the target to die, majority
of the time. This will trigger Pierre/Baron

Zeus/Elodie and Alcazar – Zeus and Elodie cast

CC preround/start of round. This increases
damage Alcazar can deal immediately.

Knox and Pierre/Baron – Knox deals powerful

targeted and AOE hits, allowing an enemy to
die, and quickly trigger Pierre/Baron.

Community collaboration – Lineup ideas!

This section was created by lineups submitted

by various players in the community, for
various different game modes.

Mode: Galaxy Void

Contributor: Auen1, LegacyOfFire
Build notes: Thinker (Holy Prayer), Houston
(Light of Faith), Ronin (Radiance Tribute),
Jane (Templar Glory), Time (Genesis), Kloris
(Angel Wings)
Why they like it: I like the relative ease of
the build to acquire. It's not complicated and
only requires time.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Mode: Quantum Invasion

Contributor: JMTurbo, CyberRunners
Notes: Yi protects, Time stays alive longer
with the Hammer (put phantom+evolution stigs on
him), Kinley charges Orochi's ult more, while
Houston lowers enemy defense, while boosting
the back line's attack, & Ronin also lowers
enemy defense & further weakens it with the
Wand. Your force / force res % must be greater
than 40% & ensure that Ronin's attack power is
still less than Orochi's after Ronin gets his
20% boost on his current attack power as you
want Time to choose Orochi to act again, so
he's using his ult twice per round.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Mode: Stigmata Zone: Demonic Life 28

Contributor: JMTurbo, CyberRunners
Notes: I used this lineup to pass every level
in Time Travel vs. Demonic-Life woman. Gilles-
Wand will increase dmg to enemies & reduce
their shielding, plus protect Orochi-Scythe &
God Slayer-Axe, Lucas-Orb increases frequency
of Orochi's ult, & Yi-Holy Prayer or Armor
protects. The axe will further increase God
Slayer's attack power & provide a shield based
on his HP. Kloris-Primal Power needs to have
1.25M+ attack power & the artifact will allow
her to increase her dmg each round. Also, use
the Assassin ship at level 150, since it
increases dmg to the enemy by 10%, while also
reducing shield by 10% & also reduces enemy
healing effect by 10%, which is key when
fighting this enemy as she constantly heals
herself.

Mode: Reincarnation Space – Maya week

Contributor: Gokhan- TopSaints

feed lucas for fatal protection gs sychte for
dmg and monkey support dmg with spear but since
maya is universe monkey has bonus dmg to him.
And karen for boosting the dmg.

Notes: Line up for dark faction all the way
400. Anna and gonibal handles cc , cara if she
ever aim light for healing lucas orb feed gs
with scythe and baron as a support dmg with
hammer.

Mode: General PVP

Contributor: ScubaSteve, Prometheus
Notes: High dmg on Laura with Baron secondary
for clean up. The team gets a lot of BA bonus
from bonnie and magner combo that Laura becomes
very effective. The down side is your team cant
gain speed during battle as magner skill
prevents it, so you have to make sure your
Laura is fast prebattle.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Mode: Quantum Invasion

Contributor: BigBrainMercado, Dark Plague
Notes: First is more for advanced players with
like 60% force. The logan one needs logan to
have highest speed and GS to be second fastest.
Most players use Toko instead of Poseidon.
Team Build Guide v1 by Serenity of LegacyOfFire

Mode: General PVP

Notes: Zeus can be countered by balance,
however with Elodie holding orb, Alcazar can
still be orb charged. Yi adds a shield to the
team, allowing absolute freeze to last longer.
Due to the excessive CC hero use, Alcazar can
maximise her buffs early.

Mode: Union War, DB

Contributor: u.e.k.i, God’s Legacy
Notes: make eve as suicidal hero just focus on
her effect hit. enemy is expected to kill her
first and trigger her exclusive skill. and by
that, julia as dps can deal dmg and if she kill
an enemy, she will i crease kloris’ attack.

counter: anti cc / cc remover heroes
