Faculty of Management

The faculty of science is one of the most important divisions in a university or


polytechnic, plays a crucial in shaping future business leaders and contributing to
the advancement of management knowledge.

The Faculty of Management In OYSCATECH

The Faculty of Management studies (FAMACOSSA) is an academic unit in Oyo


State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora (OYSCATECH) that
compose of various departments with specialized fields of study. The key
departments includes Public Administration (PAD), Business Administration
(BAM), Office Term Management(OTM), Library Information Science (LIS) and
Accounting

In this presentation, we will explore how the Faculty of Mangement manages


essential operations such as course allocation, result processing, and the
relationships between departments to maintain smooth operations

The faculty of management in oyo states college of agriculture and technology is


head by a Dean

A dean must be the the lecturere with highest rank in the departments

And we also have dean of dean

The senior lecture in the Faculty will be the dean of all deans in the Faculty and
also the chairman of deans in the Faculty.

1. Course Allocation

Let’s dive into the course allocation process for each department.

Overview: Course allocation refers to how courses are assigned to both students
and faculty members. It involves balancing students' choices with the available
resources, such as professors and classroom space.

Course Offering: Each department offers a set of courses that fit into their
discipline, but there are also interdisciplinary courses. For example, Public
Administration may offer courses like “Administation Behavior,” while
Accounting and Business Administation might offer courses in “Cost
Accounting ”
Process:

Student Enrollment: Students typically select courses based on their major and
interests, using an online system where they register in their chosen courses.

Faculty Assignment: Faculty members are assigned courses based on their


expertise and availability. In some cases, faculty may develop new courses based
on emerging trends.

Interdepartmental Courses: Departments collaborate to offer interdisciplinary


courses that benefit students from multiple disciplines. For instance, Statistics
might collaborate with Chemistry to offer a course on data analysis in chemical
research.

2. Result Processing

Let’s explore how results are processed, including grading and final submissions.

Results will circulate from the lecturer to the hod of the departments from the hod
to the Faculty them the dean of faculty will collect it from Faculty to the academic
planning committee to oversea issues on it and approval.

grades or GPA) to evaluate students. Each department may have its own
assessment criteria for grading, which are set in alignment with the overall
academic standards of the faculty.

administration, ensuring consistency and accuracy. The final grades are shared
with students via an online portal or printing of physical copy.

Department-Specific Processing: Each department (e.g., PAD, BAM) may have

are unique to their discipline.
