ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
NAME: J. JEYAGANESH, G. VINAYAGAM DEPARTMENT: NPD
1. Handle RFQ & review the product/ process feasibility.
2. Prepare machining costing break up for the new products. 3. Initiate APQP discussion with the customer for all development parts. 4. Analyze new components, materials and technologies to evaluate functionality for all new product development. 5. Develop raw material source (Forgings/ Castings/ Steel bars) for the new products. 6. Design & develop Fixtures, Special Toolings, Gauges, Receiver gauges and Instruments required for the development products. 7. Develop new machining vendors for new products. 8. Develop special process source such as heat treatment, plating, welding, phosphate required for new products. 9. Program and machine new products inhouse. 10. Initiate Quality department for internal layout inspection. 11. Offer the machined sample to the customer with all the supporting documents. 12. Prepare & submit PPAP documents for all the new products and sign off with the customer. 13. Conduct run @ rate, for the pilot lot and verify the estimated cycle time (vs) Actual cycle time and take action if required. 14. Validate the process by conducting statistical study such as SPC, MSA before handover to production department. 15. Adapt new technology such as tools, gauges to reduce the cycle time. 16. Implement KAIZEN given by the employees. 17. Design new concepts for development of new products and maintain technical compatibility to develop concepts into real products.
