Monarchy

Absolute monarchy is a government system where a king or queen rules for life, with power inherited by their heirs. While it can provide stability and symbolize national unity, it also has drawbacks such as lack of choice for citizens, significant wealth gaps, absence of checks and balances, resistance to change, and dependence on the ruler's capabilities. The effectiveness of a monarchy largely hinges on the qualities of the reigning monarch.

ABSOLUTE MONARCHY

A form of government where an all-powerful king or queen is the

ruler for life and power passes through the family to the ruler’s heir

HOW?
In a monarchy, the country is ruled by
a king or queen. This person is usually
born into the royal family and
becomes the leader because of their
family.
The king or queen has all of the power
and makes important decisions for the
country.
Sometimes, there are rules and
traditions that the royal family must
follow, like who can become the next
king or queen.

Tradition: Some countries have had

monarchies for a very long time, and
they want to keep their traditions
alive.
PROS
Stability: Monarchies can provide
stability because there's a clear
leader who doesn't change as often as
in other systems.
Symbolism: Kings and queens can be a
symbol of unity for the people and
represent their country's history and
culture.

CONS
Lack of Choice: People don't get to
choose their leader, so they might not
always agree with the king or queen's
decisions.
Rich and Poor Gap: In some
monarchies, rich and poor people can
be very different. The royal family
and their friends might have more
money and nice things, while regular
folks struggle.
No Checks and Balances: Monarchies
don't always have rules that make
sure the king or queen does a good
job. They might make bad decisions,
and nobody can stop them.
Not Open to New Ideas: Monarchies
sometimes don't want to change
because they like doing things the old
way. But the world is always changing,
so this can be a problem.
Depends on the Leader: Whether a
monarchy is good or bad often
depends on how smart and fair the
king or queen is. If they're not great,
it can make the whole country suffer.
