1. INTRODUCTION
STT is developed a DC in on 2nd floor as an expansion to their existing data centre at Gift City
Ahmedabad.
This document defines methodology to be followed for integrated system tests to be conducted
for Electrical, Mechanical, Fire and ELV systems installed for the project.
IT load is as follows:
Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring a verification for the purposes of Heat load/
Mechanical/ Electrical Tests shall be based on the following:
Manpower allocation shall follow as per drawing attached below. There is different planning
for mechanical, electrical, Fire & IBMS IST manpower allocation.

The following Safety requirements will be followed as a minimum during all works –
• Safety will have first priority.
• Work will commence as per safety regulations laid in the contract specifications and project
safety plan.
• Persons engaged with this commissioning are experienced in the activities which they will
undertake.
• All personnel undertaking the works shall receive appropriate training and safety instruction
relating to the works being undertaken.
• All personnel will receive proper and adequate training related to the test equipment
utilized for the particular testing and commissioning activity.
• Test instruments and test leads should be maintained in a safe condition and the test
methods not to create danger either for the operator or for other persons.
• Personnel undertaking the works will be provided with appropriate guidelines and guidance
relating to the work.
• Proper safety harness to be used and secured if required.
• All personal protective equipment shall be used as appropriate according to the nature of
the job.
• Housekeeping shall be of good standard and debris shall be removed.
• Daily safety training will be done before the commencement of each shift and each new
task.
• PPE shall be issued to all personnel.
• The area under/around the work area of the equipment/system will be barricaded off to
prevent access during commissioning activities. Only personnel directly involved in the
commissioning will be permitted to enter the barricaded area.
• Signage as identified in the risk assessment will be erected.

5. PRE-TEST CONDITIONS
• The testing facility is clean & free from all hazards such as spilled water/oil, tipping, electrical
loose connections, safety w.r.t. equipment damage etc.
• Ensure all Level-2 to Level-4 tests completed, and all issues are closed.
• Ensure that chillers and chilled water pumps are operating as per design configuration.
• All Parameters are set in the CPM and Chiller Units as per design requirements.
• Ensure ventilation system is adequate and is in operation.
• Ensure Cooling in DC Hall, UPS Rooms are operational, and the HVAC units are operational in
working and design configuration.
• Ensure modular load banks are connected as per IT load Capacity.
• Load in the DC hall shall be equally distributed on both the Source-A and Source-B as per
Rack load layout.
• PAHU/PAC units in UPS room and electrical Room are operational and working as per design
configuration.
• Ensure that the temperature & RH data loggers are positioned in the DC hall as indicated in
section 12.
• Ensure that trend of UPS, BMS & EPMS sensors are getting logged in the respective system.
• Ensure all Level-4 Tests are completed, and test reports are available
• Ensure that trend of MFM Meters, PDUs, UPS, Battery Monitoring System and BMS sensors
is getting logged in the BMS and EPMS system.
• Ensure all Level-4 Tests are completed, and test reports are available
• BMS Control in AUTO mode
• No Alarms present in Fire Alarm Panel, Pre-action Cabinet, GRP Panels
• All doors locked and access control system is operational
• Capture initial screenshots of BMS and FAS Graphics.
• All defects and shortages fixed and completed found during Level-2, Level-3 and Level-4.
• All level of tagging in place for the equipments.
• Lockout Tagout in Place.

7. PRE-IST CHECKS
All the systems to be checked for the healthiness and the systems to be configured as follows:
1. All selector switch of VCB’s and ACB’s are in AUTO and Remote Mode
2. All DG’s are in synchronization mode.
3. BMS/CPM Control in AUTO mode
4. All Parameters are set in the CPM and Chiller Units as per design requirements.
5. Load banks are placed as per Rack layout and load bank plan.
6. Data loggers are placed as per the Load bank plan and Data Logger Placement and keep in
logging for 1 min
7. 1.0 MW load is connected to the sockets in the DC Hall as per Rack Layout equally distributed
on both the Source S1 and Source S2.
8. Chiller Plant is online on CPM System.
9. PAHU Units are in Operational in AUTO mode and Controlled by Group Controller
10. No alarm presents on the BMS, CPM & EPMS system.
11. Capture the Screen shots of Normal System from the BMS/CPM/EPMS
12. All Fire alarm panel is normal, and all detection devices are active.
13. Ensure trends are running on the BMS/CPM/EPMS
14. All CSU’s, AHU’s are operational as per design logic
15. PAHU Units in the DC hall are operational.
16. No Alarms or trouble present on the Fire Alarm Panel.
17. Fire Mimic Panel is online with no alarms
18. Confirm with Operation Team before proceeding with the Test for announcement on other
floors
19. Confirm that the Outgoing Valve of Pre-action system is Closed Manually (Main Sprinkler Pipe
isolated)
20. Confirm that Actuator Valve of Gas Suppression System is isolated and removed temporarily
from the Cylinders
