INTENSIVE TRAINING OF SRAA ATHLETES, COACHES AND CHAPERONS

cum FINAL TECHNICAL CONFERENCE

To: The Schools Division Superintendents

1. Relative to the conduct of the 2023 Palarong Pambansa on July 29 – August

5, 2023 at Marikina City, National Capital Region, this office will conduct an
intensive training of athletes, coaches & chaperons on July 8 – 22, 2023, at the
South Cotabato Sports Complex, City of Koronadal.

2. The training aims to:

a) develop solidarity among athletes from different divisions,
b) establish teamwork in a team, and
c) improve the performance of Region XII.

3. Participants to the training are the region and division sports officers,
tournament managers, official coaches, chaperons, athletes, DepEd/non-DepEd
hired trainers, and members of the working committees involved in the training.

4. Attached are the following enclosures for your reference:

a) official list of SRAA selected athletes, coaches & chaperons
b) technical management, and regional technical working committees
c) training matrix
d) training contract templates.

5. To ensure the smooth conduct of the training, there will be a final technical
conference of Region and Division Sports Officers, and Regional Committees involved
in the training on June 30, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at the Pedro Acharon Central
Elementary School, General Santos City.

6. Division Sports Officers shall take charge in bringing qualified athletes from
their respective divisions to Koronadal National Comprehensive High School
(KNCHS), City of Koronadal, in the morning of July 8, 2023, and are obliged to attend
the training orientation at 1:30 p.m. at the KNCHS Gym. They shall see to it that
coaches, chaperons and athletes in all events shall undergo intensive training and
shall stay at Koronadal National Comprehensive High School in the whole duration
of the training.

7. Since NO one is allowed to go home without valid reason, everyone is advised

to bring the following:
a) all the needed records/documents required in the Palarong Pambansa,
b) enough clothing (from training to Palarong Pambansa proper),
c) eating utensils, and
d) set of bedding and sleeping gears.

8. Coaches are required to submit the following: a) accomplished training

contract of athletes, coaches & chaperon; b) a fifteen (15) day-training design
approved by their respective Division PESS supervisors to be submitted on July 8,
2023 during the registration, as requirement for the training following the format:
a) Title
b) Rationale
c) Objectives
d) Strategy
e) Daily Training Plan (15 days)
f) Performance Assessment

9. The Division Sports Officer of the City of Koronadal is requested to coordinate

with the school officials of Koronadal National Comprehensive High School for some
arrangements as billeting school, likewise with the Division Sports Officer of South
Cotabato to coordinate with South Cotabato Provincial Government for the use of the
sports complex as the main venue for the training of athletes including other facilities
and resources needed.

10. Expenses incurred in bringing the athletes to the training venue, and of other
participants involved in the training shall be borne by their respective
school/division MOOE/local funds, while technical conference, and training of
athletes’ expenses shall be borne from regional office sports funds subject to the
usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

11. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

SRAA Training Contract for Athlete

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This contract is entered into by and between: Department of Education, Region XII,
with office address at Regional Center, Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, represented in this act
by its Regional Director, CARLITO D. ROCAFORT, CESO IV, herein referred to as TRAINING
DIRECTOR;
-and-

_________________________________, (Name of Athlete), __________________ (Sports

Event), resident of ______________________________ (address), represented in this act by the
Parents, herein referred to as TRAINEE, agrees to perform the following conditions in view of
DepEd Region XII participation to Palarong Pambansa 2023 in Marikina City on July 29 –
August 5, 2023, to wit;
1. To undergo intensive training for fifteen (15) days, starting July 8 - 22, 2023 at
South Cotabato Sports Complex, Koronadal City;
2. To abide by the training regulations and standards set by the Training Camp;
3. To go and participate in the 2023 Palarong Pambansa.

The athlete together with the parents concerned, renounce and waive any claim
against the Training Director, for any injury or loss that the trainee may sustain or may
suffer, personal or pecuniary, in the performance of his/her duties and functions while under
training not attributable to the negligence or willful act of any of the personnel of the Training
Director. The waivers of the concerned parties shall be submitted to the Training Director
prior to the commencement of the training.

The conditions stipulated above in this contract shall commence on July 8, 2023 and
will be completed within fifteen (15) calendar days. Failure of TRAINEE to abide by the
aforementioned conditions shall mean removal from the list of SRAA official delegation to the
2023 Palarong Pambansa, and for condition number three (3) refund of the transportation
expenses that the TRAINING DIRECTOR granted to him/her.
