1. Determine critical frequency for reflection at vertical incidence if the maximum value of
electron density is 1.24 × 10−6 cm−3?
2. Illustrate surface wave propagation.
3. Analyze horizontal antennas above a plane ground.
4. Demonstrate skip distance, optimum frequency.
5. Explain: (i) Vertical antenna, and
(ii) Folded dipole antennas.
6. Illustrate the skip distance for region between transmitter and receiver using sky wave
propagation, when curvature of earth is taken into consideration.
7. Illustrate the expression for refractive index of ionosphere and critical frequency.
8. Derive equation for maximum usable frequency for both flat and curved earth conditions.
9. Demonstrate critical frequency, multihop propagation and skip distance for sky wave
propagation.
10. Evaluate the maximum range of a tropospheric transmission for which the transmitting
antenna height is 100 ft and receiving antenna height is 50 ft.
