Answer all the questions.
11) Consider a bridge rectifier connected to a primary supply of 220V RMS, 50Hz. If
the turns ratio of the transformer is 10:1, calculate the

i. Average and RMS value of load current through 1KΩ load.

ii. Efficiency and ripple factor of the circuit. (4)

Also, draw the circuit and sketch the input (across secondary terminal) and output
waveforms indicating the peak voltage and the frequency.

12) Obtain an expression for drain current of MOSFET in terms of gate voltage, drain
voltage and aspect ratio. Also, sketch the VDS – ID Characteristics of MOSFET
indicating various regions of operation. (4)

13) A Silicon diode has a saturation current of 1pA at 300C under a forward bias
voltage of 0.8V. Determine the

(i) Diode current when the temperature changes to 800C. (3)

(ii) Dynamic resistance at 800C.

14) Consider a Zener regulator with following specifications: (3)

16) Design a circuit using two operational amplifiers to obtain a output voltage VO =

2V4., where V1, V2, V3 and V4 are the input voltages. Choose feedback resistance (3)
as 15KΩ.

17) (i) Draw the circuit and obtain an expression for an inverting differentiator using
OP-AMP.

(ii) For the circuit shown below, determine the output voltage of the OP-AMP for
VIN =1V and

R1=R2. Assume OP-AMP is operated in the non-linear region and VCC = 10V.
