MONTHLY COLOUR CODING CHART

The purpose of a “Colour Coding System” is to avoid injury to personnel and damage to equipment
due to the use of worn or not properly maintained tools, equipment, items of equipment and
vehicles.
The formal monthly inspection for colour coding does not relieve the equipment user of his duty
and responsibility of visually checking the equipment each day and to report defects to supervision
line for immediate corrective action. Bad working equipment has not to be used and has to be
marked with "DO NOT USE" Label.
