Job Description Summary

Join us to participate in shaping the next generation of solutions for the digital enterprise
world, we are seeking an experienced Software Engineer – DevOps for our employee storefront
and client software platform. In this role, you will primarily help with DevOps work required to
enhance the features of the current platform and reduce its technical debt. You will also have
the chance to participate in foundational work required to clone the current platform into a
second and maybe third standalone instance. An ideal candidate will have the experience and
passion for building infrastructure as code, authoring CI/CD pipelines, and configuring
observability.

Roles and Responsibilities


• Write terraform code that adheres with the team’s best practices and provide
recommendations for improving the code base and process.
• Create and modify CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot pipelines issues when necessary.
• Support the release team during planned and unplanned releases.
• Troubleshoot application infrastructure incidents.
• Participate in problem management after incident resolution and share lessons learned and
take point on assigned corrective actions.
• Breakdown high-level technical work into small and clear work units as well as establish a
roadmap to deliver initiatives.
• Identify technical and non-technical risks affecting work delivery and bring it up to the team
leadership.
• Adopt a no assumptions approach. Proactively seek clarifying any vague work requirements
to ensure clear understanding of work requestors’ expectations.
• Conduct all tasks with a documentation-first approach.

Desired Characteristics
Technical Expertise:
• 5+ years DevOps experience.
• Strong terraform experience.
• Strong AzureDevOps experience (especially AzureDevOps pipelines).
• Strong Kubernetes and helm charts experience.
• Working knowledge of Azure resources especially the following: AKS, cosmosdb, app
services, function apps and logic apps, virtual machines, and networking.
• Working knowledge of Docker.
• Newrelic experience is a plus.
• Istio experience is a plus.
• Bash scripting experience is a plus.
• Vulnerabilities remediation experience is a plus.
Non-technical characteristics
• Highly organized and efficient with a strong focus on documenting the work being done.
• Able to balance competing priorities and execute accordingly.
• Strong analytical and strong problem-solving skills - effectively evaluates
information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
• Must be a team player eager to help others and proactively seek help from others when
needed.
