1. What I have learned from the video?

I have learned that toxic employees can cause disagreement, poor morale and reduce productivity
among coworkers. A toxic employee will create havoc until their management takes disciplinary
action, much like an unruly child would continue to misbehave until an adult says “enough.” A toxic
employee isn’t the same as difficult employee. Toxic workers are more dangerous since their actions
spread. They are not impolite, but they can also creat a negative and stressful work environment.
That’s the reason why 54% of the good employee tend to quit from their job. And it is important to
understand how to spot a toxic employee and mitigate the effects of their toxicity before it gets
worse.

2. How do you spot a toxic employee?

To spot a toxic employee, we must consider to notice the following inside the workplace:
1. The likelihood of a team member being dismissed for toxic behavior.
2. When a team member leave voluntarily.
3. The workplace performance of team member.
These three figures will meet the criteria for being termed as toxic.

3. What are the behaviors common to toxic employees?

Employees who are self-proclaimed rule followers, struggle to show up to work on time or those
who are always late has a low level of reliability, and those who are not inclined to help others are
some of the common behaviors of a toxic employee.

4. Why do you think this behavior appears in the workplace?

Personally, I think why those behavior appears in workplace is because they are dealing with
personal problems that may affect their behavior, they are not happy on their work and lastly, they
just work for the salary but did not meet the salary they want.

5. How would you handle toxic employees at work?

As a employer, first I will make an thoughtful discussion with them in private, listen to them and
amend the wrong behavior. Because it is hard to have an toxic employee inside the company, when
they repeat their toxic behavior then it is also the time to terminate them to be fair for the other
employees an to have an healthy environment.

As a coworker, first I will talk and listen to them, try to give them possible solutions with their
problem and help them grow.
