19 CONCLUSION

ICT (INFORMATION
COMMUNICATION
TECHNOLOGY )
ICT is technology that supports
activities involving information.
Such activities include gathering,
processing, storing and
presenting data. Increasingly
these activities also involving
collaboration and
communication. Hence IT has
become ICT: information
communication technology.
‘CONCEPT OF ICT
“ICT” means Information and
Communication Technology and
refers to the combination of
manufacturing and services
industries that capture, transmit
and display data and Information
electronically.

IMPORTANCE OF
ICT
AS A SOURCE OF
KNOWLEDGE

.*AS A MEDIUM OF TRANSIT

KNOWLEDGE

.*AS AMEAN OF
INTERACTION/DIALOGUE
AIM:-
*Understand the use of correlation
and ICT in marketing.

OBJECTIVES:-
*Define Correlation.
*Explain correlation relationships
*Analyse the use of ICT in
marketing
*Evaluate the ethics of ICT and
marketing
Educational technology is the
combined use of computer
hardware, software, and
educational theory and practice
to facilitate learning. “EDTech”,
it often refers to the industry of
companies that create
educational technology.
Definition Of
Computer
“Computer is an electronic
machine which accepts data
and instruction process them
and finally gives output
result”. The output result is
called information. Computer
is also called “data
processing machine”.
THE FULL FORM OF
COMPUTER IS :
C = Calculating (u0fgf ug]{)
Commonly
O = Operating (rnfpg])
M = Machine (oGq)
P = Processing (k|;f]wg ug]{)
U = Unit (PsfO{)
T = Technology (K|IjIe)
E = Education (IzIff)
R = Research (vf]hl ug’{)
*Input Unit.
*Output Unit.
*Memory Unit.
*Control Unit
*Arithmetical and Logical Unit.

MERITS OF ICT
*Speed
*Accuracy
*Multitasking
*Storage
*Data Security
*Automation
*Reduced Cost
DEMERITS
OF ICT
*Unemployment
*Health Issues
*Cybercrime
*VIRUS/Hacking
*Improper Use
*False Content
*Environment Impact
Memory is the cognitive process
that enables the encoding,
storage, and retrieval of
information over time. It serves
as the record of past
experiences and learned
Knowledge. This function allows
individuals to use past
experiences to inform current
behaviors and decisions.
Email Electronic mail is most
commonly referred to as email
or e-mail. Email generally refers
to a method of exchanging
digital messages from a sender
to one or more…
The internet, sometimes simply
called the net, is a worldwide
system of interconnected
computer network and electronic
devices that was communicate
with each other using an
established set of protocols. The
internet was conceived by the
Advanced Research Projects
Agency (ARPA) of the U.S.
government in 1969.
WWW Stands for World Wide
Web. It refers to all the public
websites or pages that users can
access on their local computers

transmitted in near real-time.
There are various software
packages which make this
possible.
A Communication satellite that
transmits the signal via a
transponder by creating a
channel between the transmitter
and the receiver at different
Earth Locations.
Example:
Telephone, Radio, Television,
Internet, and military
applications use Satellite
Communications.

Teleconferencing is the use of a

telecomm-unication device to
communicate between two or
more people. This may include a
conference call over the phone
or through using video chat
software. It’s a way for
professionals to connect virtually
without having to meet in
person.

interest of students. Teaching
materials are important catalysts
of effective instructions. Besides
the traditional teaching
methods, there are wide
varieties of teaching aids
available to the teacher.
Hardware refers to
the
External and internal
Devices and equipment
That enable you to
perform
Major functions such as functions such
as input, output, storage,
communication, processing, and more.

Software :-
In a computer system, the software
Is basically a set of instructions or
commands that tell a computer what
to do. In other words, the software is
a computer program that provides a
set of instructions to execute a user’s
commands and tell the computer what
to do. For example: MS-Word, MS-Excel,

Concludes that certain conditions,

information and communication
technologies (ICTs) can significantly
enhance poor people’s human and social
