“AI In Talent Acquisition”


General

1. The workshop was organized in MLC at I.T.S School of Management, Ghaziabad, on


Wednesday, i.e. 5thMarch, 2025 from 11:00 pm to 12:30 pm. A mail dated 4th March
2025 was circulated for the session.

Objective
2. The objective of the workshop was to provide students with in-depth insights into the
the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Talent Acquisition, covering its advantages,
challenges, and practical applications in Human Resources (HR).

About the Speaker

3. Ms. Sonia Tuteja, an alumnus of PGDM (2012-14), is a Team Lead in Talent


Acquisition at Jorie Health Pvt. Ltd. With over nine years of experience in HR, she
specializes in Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering (HRBP), Operations, and
Employee Engagement. She has extensive expertise in technical and non-technical
hiring for service-based clients, market mapping, and optimizing recruitment
strategies.

Lecture Content

1. The session was initiated by Ms Sonia Tuteja by elaborating the integration of AI in


talent acquisition and its transformative impact on hiring processes.

2. She explained the difference between AI, which processes large amounts of raw data,
and Generative AI, such as Chat GPT, which assists in tasks like resume screening,
job description creation, and candidate engagement.
3. She highlighted how AI-powered tools streamline hiring through automated
screening, chatbots, and predictive analytics, reducing manual workload.
4. She gave real-world examples, including IBM’s Deep Blue and LinkedIn’s AI-
powered recruitment tools, discussed to illustrate AI's role in enhancing recruitment
strategies.
5. She discussed concerns such as algorithmic bias, data privacy issues, and the lack of
human connection in AI-driven recruitment.
6. Concluding, Ms Sonia focus on AI applications in workforce planning, performance
management, employee engagement, and virtual HR assistants..
7. The session was very interactive overall. Student asked question related to AI
importance

8. Students understood the role AI in Talent acquisition


9. The session provided valuable insights into how AI is transforming HR, particularly
in talent acquisition. While AI offers efficiency and accuracy, organizations must
balance automation with human intuition to ensure fair and effective hiring processes.
