Major Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya: "Good day, I am Major Hoshiyar Singh
Dahiya, from the 3rd Battalion, The Grenadiers Regiment of the
Indian Army. I had the honor to lead 'C' Company during the 1971
Indo-Pak War. On December 5th, 1971, at the Battle of Jarpal, my
company was tasked with capturing and holding a strategic position
against a heavily fortified enemy.
Despite facing intense artillery and machine-gun fire, my men and I
advanced with unwavering determination. We encountered fierce
resistance, and many brave soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice.
However, our resolve never wavered. With strategic maneuvers and
relentless courage, we breached the enemy defenses. I personally led
from the front, inspiring my men to push forward despite the
overwhelming odds.
We held our position throughout the night and successfully repelled
several counter-attacks. For our exceptional bravery and steadfast
commitment, I was awarded the Param Vir Chakramedal, India's
highest military honor. My journey with the Grenadiers has been one
of dedication, camaraderie, and unwavering commitment to our
nation. It is my privilege to serve alongside my brothers in arms, and I
remain steadfast in my duty to uphold the honor and integrity of the
Indian Army."
Chahat:
"Greetings, I am Naib Subedar Bana Singh, from the 8th Battalion,
Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry. I had the honor of leading my
men during the Siachen Conflict. On June 26th, 1987, in an operation
that would later be named after me, my team and I undertook the
daunting task of capturing a crucial enemy-held post at 21,000 feet.
Under extreme weather conditions and in treacherous terrain, we
advanced stealthily and overcame fierce resistance. With relentless
courage and determination, we cleared the enemy bunkers one by
one, securing the post. For my exceptional bravery and leadership, I
was awarded the Param Vir Chakra medal , India's highest military
honor.
My journey with the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry has been one
of unwavering commitment, resilience, and teamwork. It is my
privilege to serve alongside my brave comrades, and I remain
dedicated to upholding the honor and integrity of the Indian Army."
Harshvi:
"Greetings, I am Major Ramaswamy Parameshwaran, from the 8th
Battalion, Mahar Regiment of the Indian Army. During the Sri Lankan
Civil War, on November 25th, 1987, my unit was ambushed by
militants while returning from a search operation. With cool
presence of mind, I encircled the militants from the rear and charged
into them, taking them completely by surprise. Despite being shot in
the chest, I snatched a militant's rifle and shot him dead. Gravely
wounded, I continued to give orders and inspire my command until I
breathed my last. For my exceptional bravery and supreme sacrifice, I
was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra medal, India's
highest military honor. My journey with the Mahar Regiment has
been one of unwavering commitment, resilience, and teamwork. It is
my privilege to serve alongside my brave comrades, and I remain
dedicated to upholding the honor and integrity of the Indian Army."
Harsh:
"Greetings, I am Lieutenant Colonel Ardeshir Burjorji Tarapore,
serving with the 17th Battalion, Poona Horse Regiment of the Indian
Army. During the 1965 Indo-Pak War, on September 11th, my
regiment was involved in a series of ferocious battles in the Sialkot
Sector. Despite being outnumbered and facing intense enemy fire, I
led my men with courage and tactical brilliance.
Even after my tank was hit and I was grievously injured, I continued
to lead the assault with tenacity and resolve. Under my command,
we captured several enemy positions, showcasing extraordinary
bravery and determination. Despite suffering heavy casualties, my
leadership and the valor of my men turned the tide of the battle in
our favor.
For my indomitable spirit and supreme sacrifice, I was posthumously
awarded the Param Vir Chakramedal, India's highest military honor.
My journey with the Poona Horse Regiment has been one of
unwavering dedication, resilience, and solidarity. It is my profound
honor to serve alongside my valiant comrades, and I remain
committed to upholding the pride and integrity of the Indian Army
Vishishtha:
Greetings, I am Grenadier Yogendra Singh Yadav, from the 18th
Battalion, The Grenadiers Regiment of the Indian Army. I had the
privilege of serving during the Kargil War of 1999. On July 4th, during
the assault on Tiger Hill, my platoon faced a heavily fortified enemy
position. Despite being wounded multiple times, I scaled a sheer, icy
cliff and engaged the enemy in close combat.
I neutralized several enemy bunkers, clearing the way for my platoon
to capture the strategic peak. My actions, driven by sheer
determination and extraordinary bravery, played a crucial role in our
victory. Despite my injuries, I continued to fight until the mission was
accomplished.
For my gallant actions and unwavering spirit, I was awarded the
Param Vir Chakramedal, India's highest military honor. My journey
with The Grenadiers has been one of dedication, resilience, and
immense pride. It is my honor to serve alongside my courageous
comrades, and I remain committed to upholding the honor and
integrity of the Indian Army
Priya:
"Greetings, I am Rifleman Sanjay Kumar, from the 13th Battalion,
Jammu and Kashmir Rifles of the Indian Army. During the Kargil War
on July 4th, 1999, I volunteered to be the leading scout tasked with
capturing Area Flat Top at Point 4875 in the Mushkoh Valley. Despite
facing intense enemy fire, I charged at the enemy bunker alone,
taking bullets in my chest and forearm.
With sheer determination, I engaged in hand-to-hand combat,
eliminating three enemy soldiers. I then picked up an enemy machine
gun and continued my assault on the second bunker, surprising and
neutralizing the remaining enemy troops. My actions inspired my
comrades to push forward and secure the area.
For my conspicuous gallantry and unwavering courage, I was
awarded the Param Vir Chakramedal, India's highest military honor.
My journey with the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles has been one of
dedication, resilience, and immense pride. It is my honor to serve
alongside my brave comrades, and I remain committed to upholding
the honor and integrity of the Indian Army."
Jihan:
I am Captain Vikram Batra, from the 13th Battalion, Jammu and
Kashmir Rifles of the Indian Army. During the Kargil War of 1999, I led
my men in the daring assault on Point 5140, a heavily fortified enemy
position. With the rallying cry 'Yeh Dil Maange More!', we scaled the
treacherous cliffs under enemy fire and launched a surprise attack.
Despite facing intense resistance, I led from the front, inspiring my
men to overcome every obstacle. We successfully captured the
objective, showcasing unparalleled bravery and determination. Later,
during the mission to capture Point 4875, I personally engaged in
close combat, eliminating several enemy soldiers. Tragically, I was
mortally wounded but my courage ensured the success of the
mission.
For my extraordinary gallantry and supreme sacrifice, I was
posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakramedal, India's highest
military honor. My journey with the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles has
been one of dedication, resilience, and immense pride. It is my
