Irial watched in horror as General Stroff shot his own son.

Cade flew
backwards and Adonis caught him terrified. Cade was dead there was
nothing more that could be said but he was dead. Tears welled in
Irial’s eyes as he fell to the floor grasping Cade’s hand.

“You killed him!” Adonis screamed laying Cade’s body on the floor.

The young boy stood staring angrily at the older man. General Srtoff’s
face was completely blank, completely uncaring that he took his own
son’s life, which only infuriated Adonis more. Irial watched as Adonis
took a step towards the General lifting up a hand and pushing the man
away.

Another shot rang out but it ricochet off of Adonis as the boy
continued to advance on the group. The floor underneath Irial began to
shake as the ceiling of the building split apart. The wall fell away and
Irial could see all the other buildings doing the same thing. The
ground itself began to split open as lava erupted onto the surface
taking down everything it its path.

“Addy we need to find Giana and get out of here.” Irial cried as the
floor gave way.

Irial flung himself over Cade’s body closing his eyes as he waited to
hit the ground, but he wasn’t falling. Cracking open one eye he found
himself and Cade floating in the same spot where her had just been
kneeling. Adonis was emerging from a room carrying Giana as the
walls crumbled around him.

“Cade, no.” She cried as they came closer to Irial.

Adonis set her on the invisible ground and she rushed to the dead boys
side. Gently holding her stomach she knelt down and took Cade’s
limp hand.

“I need to take you to the others.” Adonis replied placing a hand over
Cade’s eyes and looking up at Irial.

“What others and what about Cade?” Irial asked confused.

“The others that must come with us, I must get them. As for Cade
once this is over I will figure out what to do with him. For now we
must go.”

Irial gasped as a gust of wind surrounded them and suddenly they

were at his house along with Keden, Jessica and Dr. Marco. The three
looked around confused and terrified as Adonis instructed them to stay
in the house till he returned. They all agreed staring down at Cade’s
body sadly.

When Irial returned he came through the front door with a very
terrified Emily and her mother. Paddy bound into the house behind
them wagging his tail but when he caught sight of Cade he began to
whine loudly.

“We must hurry.” Adonis said as the house began to shake.

“What is going on?” Jessica asked nervously.

“Addy ended the world.” Irial explained bitterly.

“But why?” Dr. Marco stared at Adonis with wide eyes.

“They killed my keda and they had to pay.” Adonis said darkly ending
all discussion. “I am taking you all away from here so you can
continue to live. Please circle around Cade and we will go.”

To afraid to ask what Adonis was going to do the group circled around
Cade and Adonis wrapped his arms around Irial. Humming quietly
Adonis closed his eyes and the wind in the room picked up. Suddenly
the group was off the ground floating towards the ceiling. A giant
tornado tore open the roof of the house and the group rose higher and
higher.

With a flash of light they all disappeared entirely. Irial gripped Adonis
tightly taking in a deep breath as things began to blur past him. It
stopped just as soon as it started and Adonis caught the young man as
his legs buckled.

“It’s alright love we are here.” Adonis whispered into Irial’s ear.
Opening his eyes Irial stared around at the jungle they had arrived in.
People both young and old surrounded them watching the group
curiously. Setting Irial gently on the ground Adonis approached the
other group. An elderly man stepped forward and the two began
conversing in another language.

The old man looked down at Cade and turned giving a few people
what Irial could only assume were orders of some sort. Three people
rushed forward and picked Cade’s body off the ground. Irial watched
as they carried him away and he leapt up running after them. Adonis
grabbed the young man and held him closely.

“What are they going to do with him?” Irial asked frantically.

“They will do what they can my keda. Just relax and let them figure
everything out.” Adonis whispered nuzzling his cheek. “These are the
Bashir and they are of my tribe. They no longer fear me and they have
accepted us.”

A group of Bashir stepped forward taking other’s in the group and

leading them away. The elder said something to Adonis and the boy
nodded leading Irial away from the tribe. Irial followed Adonis to a
small clearing by a river, a small hut sat invitingly and Adonis pushed
open the door pulling Irial in.

“We will stay here for now until the tribe is ready for us. Lay down
and rest now while I search for a few things.”

“But I don’t understand.” Irial whispered clutching Adonis’s hand

afraid that if he left Irial would never see him again.

Adonis smiled at him calmly and laid him gently on the bed. “Sleep
now I will be back by the time you wake.” Irial was overcome with
sudden exhaustion and he fought to keep himself awake but his body
soon gave in.

“Irial I’m sorry I did not arrive sooner.” Adonis said sprinting towards
the young man.

When Irial woke to find that Adonis had not arrived he decided to
look around the small area that was now his home. He turned and
looked angrily at Adonis causing his lover to stop in his tracks. Irial
was overcome with anger from the day’s events and he wanted to take
it out on the one who caused all the problems.

“Irial I-”

“You killed everyone.” Irial growled.

“I had to, it was their time.” Adonis said calmly.

“Why because they killed Cade? I am just as angry as you are about it
but that did not mean the entire world had to suffer. What about the
ones I loved who are no longer alive because of you? Do you deserve
to die because you killed them in your fit of rage? How dare you
decide who is allowed to live and die. How dare you play god on a
planet you know nothing about.” Tears were now spilling from Irial’s
eyes as he glared angrily at the Bashir in front of him.

“I’m sorry Irial, you are right I was reckless and in the end I took the
lives of millions of innocent people. I can not undo what I have done.”
Adonis reached up to wipe away Irial’s tears but the boy slapped his
hand away.

“Apologizing for your stupid behavior is not going to make anything

better. You have nothing glorious to show for it. Cade is still dead and
you have taken us to some unknown planet and expect us to think that
everything is back to normal.” Irial was now shouting.

“Love please-”

“Do not call me that I don’t want to love someone who can so easily
take lives.” Irial turned to leave but Adonis grabbed his wrist and
slammed him against a tree.
“I’m sorry and I will try my hardest to make it up to you. Yes I did
something terribly wrong and I see that it hurts you but you can not be
so judgmental when you yourself have taken countless lives of loved
ones yourself.”

Irial knew that Adonis was right. He had fought in a few human wars
and he had taken countless lives but Irial was so angry that he could
not calm himself to think properly. “I hate you.” He sneered. “You
should have left me on earth to die just like the rest of us. I never want
to be with you again.”

Adonis looked as if he had been struck. He released his hold on Irial

and the young man bolted into the jungle. He ignored Adonis’s calls
to him, he just wanted to get away and as fast as possible. A hand shot
out from nowhere and grabbed his arm pulling him to the ground.

Irial gasped as the wind rushed from his lungs and he looked up to see
a very tall Bashir standing over him. The man said something in
another language and lifted Irial off the ground. He returned the boy to
Adonis who looked at him with a pained expression. Irial just ignored
the two Bashir and stormed into the house slamming the door shut,
indicating that Adonis was not welcomed there.
