Paw Patrol

Lookout
Tower
Print instructions
● Yellow, red, light blue, dark blue, grey and dark grey PLA.
● TPU for elevator wheels is recommended, but not necessary.
● Some parts use switch filament color in a layer. See later.
● 0.2 or 0.3 mm layer height.
● Use 3 perimeters for structural tower parts.
● Some parts need supports: DECK_LOWER_A.stl, DECK_LOWER_B.stl,
DOOR_FRAME.stl, TOWER_TOP_PLATE.stl, CONTROL_PANEL.stl,
ROOF_L.stl, ROOF_R.stl, ELEVATOR.stl, TOBOGAN_A, B, C and D.stl,
TOWER_L_BOTTOM.stl, TOWER_R_BOTTOM.stl
● Parts are oriented to the bed.
● Use color ink/laser printer to print screen and badges; to be found in HERE.
● Tower bottom.
● From red to yellow in height 21 mm.
● From yellow to grey in height 28 mm.
● Provided are AMS profiles. if you don’t
have AMS, you’ll need to add pause by
yourself.
● Upper deck.
● From light blue to yellow in height 16.6 mm.
● Provided are AMS profiles. if you don’t have AMS, you’ll need to add
pause by yourself.
Print postproduction
● Remove supports.
● Some parts use sacrificial bridging inside holes for screws. This means one
layer of extra material to provide printability without the need of supports. This
bridging needs to be removed in postproduction.
Needed hardware
● superglue or other glue for PLA
● 608 bearing (or 3D printed one)
● M2x6 screws
● M2x12 screws
● M3x10 screws
● M3x16 screws
● 2mm metal rod
● 2pcs of pen spring (4 mm outer diameter)
ELEVATOR
● Use pieces of filament as axles for
elevator wheels.
● Wheels should rotate smoothly.
● Wheels printed from TPU would
mean quieter operation.
LEFT TOWER SIDE
● Glue three tower parts together.
● Use 3 pieces of 2mm rod, length
28 mm, to align and reinforce the
connection.
RIGHT TOWER SIDE
● INSERT ELEVATOR FIRST
BEFORE ATTACHING TOP
PART!!!
● Put all three parts together.
● Use 2mm rod 369 mm long to
strengthen the elevator rail. See
purple color on the image.
● Insert rod from the top all the way
to the bottom
ELEVATOR LATCH
● Insert spring (from
mechanical pen) or similar
into the latch and put on
cover.
● Use M2x6 screw to attach
cover to the tower on top.
● Do the same on the other
side.
● The purpose is to hold
elevator in upper position.
● Print provided screen image. You’ll find
it in “images” folder. Just click
“Download STL/CAD files”
● Wrap it around the barrel and glue it.
● Insert 608 bearing (common
skateboard bearing) into
CONTROL_PANEL.stl, then insert
MONOCULAR_SCREEN.stl.
Screen should rotate smoothly.
● If you don’t have bearing available,
you can try 3D printed one. Search
Thingiverse etc.
● Attach roof to the
panel using 4pcs
M3x16 screws.
● Use 3 pcs of M3x10 screws to join monocular
halves together.
● Then glue monocular into rotation screen.
● Note: roof not displayed here.
● Glue upper deck
parts together. You
can use pieces of
filament as an
alignment helpers.
● Insert and glue
railing.
● Attach control panel with monocular
to the upper deck.
● Use 4 pcs of M3x16 screws.
● Put 3 pieces of lower deck
together and use 6pcs of
M3x16 (or M3x20) and
attach them to the tower
sides.
● glue decks

● Attach elevator
base using 4pcs of
M3x16 screws.
● Add some rubber
bumpers to upper
surface to prevent
noise.
● 4pcs of M2x6 screws to attach rib.
● Attach light blue frame using 8 pcs of M2x6 screws.
● Attach badge using
2pcs of M3x16
screws.
DOOR
● Attach door frame to the
tower using 4pcs of M3x10
screws.
DOOR
● Glue door handles to the door.
DOOR
● Attach door to the frame using
4pcs of M2x6 screws.
● Do not tighten too much.
● Join tobogan parts together using
6 pcs of M2x12 screws.
● You can alternatively use
superglue and pieces of filament
to secure parts together.
● Attach tobogan to
the tower.
● 2pcs M3x10 screws
from the bottom.
● 4pcs M3x16 screws
in the middle.
● 2pcs M3x10 screws
at the top.
