of a strong legal framework in promoting gender equality
in the workplace. Pakistan has enacted the Protection
Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act
(2010), which ensures that women can work without fear
of harassment or discrimination.
-Furthermore, the government has introduced laws to
address equal pay and maternity leave, ensuring that
women have the same rights and opportunities as men.
These legal measures demonstrate Pakistan’s
commitment to creating a safe and supportive work
environment for women, and we encourage other
nations to adopt similar policies.
Thank you.”

Argument 2: Financial Support and Economic

Empowerment:

The delegation of Pakistan recognizes that economic
empowerment is key to achieving gender equality.
Pakistan has implemented programs like the Ehsaas
Program and the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP),
which provide financial assistance to women in rural and
low-income areas.
-Through these programs, women are not only gaining
financial independence but also contributing to their

Pakistan is a signatory to the UN Sustainable

achieving gender equality and empowering women and
girls.

to implement gender-sensitive policies and share best
practices with other nations. We urge all member states

in digital infrastructure and training for women to ensure
their inclusion in the digital economy.

-The delegation of Pakistan stresses the importance of
women in leadership positions. Pakistan has seen
remarkable examples, including the late Benazir Bhutto,

women to shape national and global policy.

introduced gender quotas in local government bodies,
