Banjo:What do you mean? Are we not in a relationship?.I have a right to taste you when I want
to & besides these things are old school. And again, we're getting married next year. There’s
nothing wrong with it.You can ask for forgiveness after that and move on.

Kemi:That is totally wrong.I can't do such.

Banjo:Alright then,I'll take my leave.I’ll find somewhere else to satisfy myself

Kemi:(angry)What do you mean by that?

Banjo: What do you think I mean? See, I can't keep begging you.And besides you better do
something, cos menopause will soon come knocking.

Kemi:Are you out of your mind?

Banjo:Whatever(leaves)

Kemi:Banjo…(Attempts to stop him but moves back)What kind of nonsense is this?

Amaka:It is well.Let me get you some water.(She leaves to get a bottle of water)

Kemi:(picks her phone):Ah! Jesus! It's a lie

This can't be true

Amaka:(comes in with a bottle of water) What’s going on?

Kemi:Amaka it has happened o(shows Amaka her phone, who then reads the message)

Amaka:My dear, leave him,he doesn't deserve you.Let him go.

Kemi:Let him go as how??!!!. We'll be getting married soon.Haa!! I'm finished.

Amaka: You're not finished dear, this man does not even love you.You we're the one
complaining that he cheats on you and he wants to sleep with you before getting married to
you.Haba now!

Kemi:(crying) Why are there no genuine men out there.I was loyal, faithful and I have my
best,so where did I go wrong?

Amaka:(consoling her) Just calm down, the right one will come.

Kemi:When? It seems all those ones who do it against God's will are the ones getting married to
the better ones.

Amaka:Says who? Don't be hard on yourself for doing the right thing, for in due season,God will
send you the right man.

Kemi:When I'm 50??

Amaka:You know what, let's go inside the room,so you can relax (They leave the stage)

Kemi:(confused)Excuse me?

Oge: There's nothing there now.Besides, was he not planning to go see your parents?

Kemi:And so? Is that a ticket for going against God's word?

Juliet:My love.These days,no one pays attention to all these things.It doesn't matter.How many
girls will you find out there “waiting to get married before having anything to do with their
partners"....my love, perish that thought.

Oge: Exactly. All these don't matter anymore.Men are not looking for all these things again
do.You need to pamper him, give him all he wants,if you want him to stay.Men are scarce o.

Kemi:Are you guys the ones saying this?

Juliet:My dear better do the needful, menopause will soon come knocking o.

Oge:And you're not getting any younger

Juliet: Exactly.

Kemi:If not that we're friends, I'd have thrown you out of my house.

Oge:Throw us out?,for saying the truth?.

Please do,the truth is always bitter.Juliet let's go please.(The stand up to leave) That's my
asoebi on the table, that's if you'll attend my wedding.

Kemi: (Throwing the asoebi at them)carry your asoebi and get out of my house.Rubbish.(paces

your word.Why haven't I found my own prince charming?Ah! Banjo!But ... .could it be
true?.Everyone is doing it and they're getting all the good men.and like they said, menopause
will soon come knocking (pauses for a while)No! I choose to stand out.Even when everyone is
indulging in that,I choose to be the odd one out.Your word says I should not grow weary in
doing the right thing for in due season,I'll reap my rewards.
(Just then,her phone rings)
