I. What is Get Ready for Flyers?
- Get Ready for Flyers is the third level of a three-level series designed to prepare children for the three
Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners, Pre A1 Starters, Al Movers and A2 Flyers.
- Get Ready for Flyers can use as the basis book for students.
- Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners are aimed at children in the 7-12 age groups.
- They provide a reliable indication of how well children are performing in English, in the skills of
listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Flyers is the second of the three tests, and is set at Level A2 on the Common European Framework of
Reference (CEFR).
-The Flyers test is divided into 16 parts:
+ Listening: parts 1-5
+ Reading and Writing parts:1-7
+ Speaking: 1-4.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. Overall objectives
- This course aims to help students develop and improve their English skills in order to reach Flyers level.
- This program will stimulate children’s passion for learning English and help them live up to their full
potential.
- Children can sing a lot of English songs.
- Children can develop their thinking abilities and enhance students understanding of cultural and social
characteristics of countries in the world as well as have more extensive understanding of the culture and
society of their own nation.
- Children can gradually form natural communication skills in the language of native speakers.
- They can understand frequently used sentences and structures related to basic communication needs
(such as information about home, family members, daily routines and etc.
- Have basic and minimum knowledge about English including pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar;
and through the English language, to gain basic knowledge of the landscape, culture and people of
English-speaking countries and other countries in the world.
2. Specific objectives
a. Listening and Speaking skills

- Children can communicate in simple English through the four language skills of listening, speaking,
reading and writing. The expectation is that listening and speaking will provide the dominant focus.
- Through the English language, students gain basic knowledge of the landscape, culture and people of
English-speaking countries and other countries in the world.
- Children can make the interlocutor understand by adding small details, although hesitating, cutting the
idea short and finding it difficult to rephrase.
b. Reading skill.
- Children can understand short and simple texts on learned topics.
- Students learn more vocabulary and widen their knowledge.
c. Writing skill
- Children can write words or sentence on learned topics. They also know how to find and rewrite the right
words and sentence patterns on familiar topics.
