RESEARCH TASK
WATERFALL METHOD
Waterfall methodology is a well-established project management workflow. Like a
waterfall, each process phase cascades downward sequentially through five stages
(requirements, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance).
STRENGTH
Easy to understand and easy to use.
Provides a reference to inexperienced staff.
Milestones are well-understood by the team.
Provides requirements stability.
Facilitates strong management control (i.e. plan, staff, track).
Works well when quality is more important than cost or schedule.
WEAKNESSES
All requirements are to be known upfront.
Deliverables are created for each phase, and considered to be frozen – inhibits flexibility.
Can give a false impression of progress.
Integration is one big-bang at the end.
Little opportunity for customer to preview the system.

DEVOPS METHODOLOGY
DevOps is a philosophy promoting collaboration and communication between
application development and IT operations teams. It involves iterative software development,
automation, and programmable infrastructure deployment. It also involves culture changes,
trust building, and aligning technological projects with business requirements. DevOps can
change software delivery chains, services, job roles, and IT tools.
STRENGTH
Improved Collaboration
Faster Delivery
Increased Efficiency
Quality Assurance
Scalability and Flexibility
WEAKNESSES
Initial Implementation Challenges
Security Concerns
Cost Considerations
Continuous Monitoring and Maintenance

AGILE METHODOLOGY
The Agile methodology is a project management approach that involves breaking the
project into phases and emphasizes continuous collaboration and improvement. Teams follow a
cycle of planning, executing, and evaluating.
STRENGTH
Constant improvement and quality assurance
More flexible to changing needs
Hands-on approach for customers
Faster delivery times on initial value
WEAKNESSES
Lack of long-term planning
No clear picture of costs upfront (difficult planning)
Lack of cross professionally trained teams available
Problems with workflow coordination

Outcomes:
Loxon Solutions, a Hungarian tech startup in banking software, successfully transitioned
to agile practices to address challenges from rapid growth. By improving its hiring process,
restructuring into cross-functional teams, and providing agile training, the company enhanced
collaboration, transparency, and employee engagement. Agile ceremonies and roles like Scrum
Masters and Product Owners facilitated better communication and accountability, leading to
faster product delivery and increased customer satisfaction. This agile transformation enabled
Loxon Solutions to scale effectively while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Conclusion
In conclusion, agile methodology case studies are valuable tools for professionals in
various fields. The real-world examples and insights into specific problems and solutions, allow
professionals to learn from others' experiences and apply those learning their own work. Case
studies offer a deeper understanding of complex situations, highlighting the challenges faced,
the strategies employed, and the outcomes achieved.
