‘Do you remember ‘’Past Simple’’ from last week’s
lesson? Can you tell me what do you remember?

Presentation of the main activity

Now, you will read and listen a short text 2 times


about an inventor ,then find out what are the past
simple verbs in this text. After finding these words,
you’ll tell me present forms of them.

Thomas Edison (1847–1931) was an American


inventor who created many important things,
including the light bulb, the phonograph (which
played music), and early motion pictures. Edison is
famous for helping bring electricity to homes and
businesses, changing the world in many ways. He
worked hard and didn't give up, even when his ideas
didn't work at first. He also started the company
General Electric, which is still a big business today.
